Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1963 convertible Ford Falcon Futura – Triple Black. I have owned this car for 7 years. The previous owner (PO) was from Huntsville, Al and used it as a daily driver. The PO installed a 302 V8, out of a 1973 ford pickup, the automatic C4 transmission is out of a 1966 Ford Mustang , adjustable rear air shock and front disc brake conversion. I have not done any work to either the engine or transmission as both are still in good working condition. I have focused mostly on the floor pans and car interior, including the top and frame. Below is a list for items that I have done to the car: · Complete interior removal, all the way to the metal. · Replaced the driver’s side floor plan, front and rear and passengers rear side. Repaired the front passengers side pan. · Painted the floor pans with POR-15 to protect them · Painted the car interior; dash, doors, rear quarters, interior wheel wells (trunk) · Install new molded loop carpet with mat backing for noise dampening · New glove box with new rubber bumpers · New vent ducts · New dash pad · New seat covers · New rear quarter panel covers · New drink holders, to replace the rear ashtrays · Convertible top frame was stripped down to the metal, repaired and repainted. Hardware replaced · New convertible top and rear certain (window) installed · New rubber weather stripping on the top frame · New rollers for the windows · New door locks and ignition with matching keys · New door panels · New chrome door lever bezels · New rear quarter panel covers and chrome trim · New rubber weather stripping on the doors · New rubber door stops/bumpers · New window strip “fuzzies” front and rear. I have the original radio and was planning on getting it retrofitted with MP3 or other technology and re-install but that will be up to the next owner. The exterior paint is in good condition but could use a good buffing to make it much better. There are a few nick and dings in the paint here and there, as I mentioned the PO used it as a daily driver. The car is not a trailer queen but could potentially win a trophy if placed in the right car show. I generally just drive the car on occasion for weekend cruising with the family. It is still reliable enough to be used as a daily driver and is guaranteed to turn heads! Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
