2005 Cadillac STS - Low mileage, excellent condition--A similarly trimmed, same year, V8 with 103,000 miles and in poorer condition just sold for $9,000. Search for item number 121629334618 -- This car has spent all but the last year in Florida (see autocheck report). I purchased from a dealer in Fort Myers and have had it serviced at Crest Cadillac in the Milwaukee area since then. It has spent only one winter with me in Milwaukee and it shows. Equipped with Bose premium system and multi-disc changer. Has satellite radio as well. Polished aluminum wheels, heated leather seats. Rain-sensing wipers, backup sensor. Wood trim on console and dash. Interior – 9 out of 10 – seats are clean and leather is soft. Door cards are very nice. The door jams are very clean as is the carpeting. Dash and instrumentation are all in very nice shape. Headliner is very nice. Non-smoker's car. Paint- 9 out of 10 – Very nice paint – looks two years old. Car has been detailed in the past couple weeks. There are a few chips on the front bumper but not very many and they are minor. Bodywork 9 out of 10 – I’m aware of one very small ding on the driver door panel and one on the front passenger side quarter-panel. This car has never been in an accident. All panels are straight as an arrow. Chassis – there is nearly zero corrosion under the car and it is very clean in the engine bay. See picture of engine and unsderside of car. Glass 9 out of 10 – chip free and very clear Wheels – 8 out of 10 there is some minor curb rash, but very little if no corrosion. The curb rash is only on the edges. I took a picture of only one wheel as I'm allowed only 24 pictures in the listing. Tires – 6.5 out of 10. These have 6 to 7/ 32 tread left so probably 35% worn at most – tires are Michelin’s. Mechanicals – 9 out of 10. Powertrain is excellent. It pulls smoothly and transmission shifts smoothly. There are no leaks at all. I had water pump replaced last fall with a genuine Cadillac replacement. The engine runs very quietly and smoothly. The V6 is a good engine on this car providing strong acceleration to highway speeds (260 horsepower) and good passing power - good throaty sound too. I get 20.7 mpg in mainly commuting on major city roads. I use mid-grade. The V6 engine was designed to run on regular gas whereas the optional v8 requires premium. Brakes – smooth stopping power. There is still plenty of life left on the pads and rotors. Suspension - There is a bushing beginning to wear in the front right side which can be heard over bumps. This just started, and it is not surprising on a 10 year old car. The car handles very well with rear-wheel drive. Steering is light and responsive and overall ride is sporty without being too firm. Electric – Everything electric item works except the tilt adjustment on the front driver seat – however, the seat is in a neutral position. The climate control system is one of the best that I've had - it is effortless in bringing the temp where you want it. Maintenance – Maintenance is up-to-date. Overall, this car has very minor flaws and my reserve reflects it. It is way above average condition for the year. I’m very confident the buyer will not be disappointed. If you come to inspect the car and it is not as I’ve described, you can walk away and take your entire deposit with you. It would be hard to go wrong with it. I believe this was listed above $42,000 when new. Look at the other cars available - there are inferior cars that have sold for more recently. Run an appraisal in KBB ($8,500 Private Party in Good condition) or Edmunds (8,279 in Clean condition) and you'll see this is priced to sell.
