Up for auction is my 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. It is quite original with 1 repaint from the original red to what it is now burgundy with a black roof. All stainless is present except for the center hood trim and is in great shape. The chrome plating on mirror, handles and bumpers will need refinished or replace, window seals are original and need replaced and the passenger side window will not roll down. The only rust I have found on the body is the inner fenders where the hood hinge mounts, the drivers side rear lower quarter, and a little on the pass side rear quarter wheel well lip. The doors are starting to have some bubbling in the paint. Trunk is solid, floor feels solid. All original interior (carpet needs replaced), sun visors do need refinished along with needing a new headliner. Seats are in amazing condition for being 50 years old with only 1 small separation at a stitch on the drivers side. It does have the folding bench in the front. It has the original 352 FE Big Block motor, original 3 speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission, along with the rest of the drivetrain being original. Original carb also which is very rare with original FOMOCO tag still present!! This car runs and drives! I drive it to work at least 1-3 times a week and it has never failed to start! I have added an overflow for the radiator, has new upper a arm bushings, new doughnut gaskets on the exhaust, new front tires, brakes are adjusted, electric choke for easier starting, full tune up and engine has been timed properly. I have the original blue ring hubcaps along with the original stainless steel fender skirts in the trunk! Also in the trunk is the original tire iron, bumper jack and what appears to be the original spare also! This car came equipped with AM radio, heat (no a/c), power steering and power brakes. Take that along with the big block and its got some rare option packages. The only bad thing about this car is the frame rails, they will need fixed/replaced. Considering the prices these classic Galaxies are climbing to it is an easy restore. Sold as is, no warranty expressed nor implied. I also apologize for some people assuming that the car is in some sort of mint condition, car did have a repaint some years ago and does need a restoration but can also be driven while things are done. I drive this car frequently as I does drive excellent and straight and smooth down the road. And it is currently titled tagged and insured through Hagerty.
