Vehicle Detail
It is time to move on. After ten years and almost 220,000 miles it is time to part with the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have treated this truck like part of the family and have always maintained it properly, with no expense spared in its maintenance and upkeep. Whatever the truck required, I did without hesitation. All maintenance was done at either the Toyota dealership or by me. Whenever replacement parts were necessary, only original Toyota or the best aftermarket parts were used. Things like Bilstein shocks, Brembo rotors, Hawk brake pads, Odyssey AGM battery and Mobil1 synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles. The truck may look a little scruffy in areas but performs flawlessly, much like a vehicle with a quarter of the miles. The 4Runner has never failed to start or left me stranded, a testament to proper maintenance and Toyota quality. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The 4Runner is completely stock with no modifications. I purchased the truck from the original owner who also took very good care of the vehicle. It has never been in an accident or had any paintwork. The 4Runner needs absolutely nothing in terms of mechanical attention. All switches, gauges and systems function properly and as designed. That said, the truck is not perfect. The clearcoat on the hood and roof has badly faded, there is a dent on the rear bumper and after this harsh winter, there is minor rust creeping up on the rear wheel wells. If I were to keep the truck, I'd give those areas some attention. The rest of the body and undercarriage, however, are in nice shape. Why am I selling the truck? Because I recently purchased a 23,000-mile 3rd Generation 4Runner which I plan on driving to another 200,000 miles.
