This is a 1983 CJ7 my father purchased about 8 to 10 years ago, it spent its life in the garage, the time we had it, I cannot speak for the previous owner. I decided to take it and "fix it up" the motor went south shortly after I got it running, so I purchased a used motor off craigslist. the motor had 115K on it when the car it was in was hit in the rear. I purchased a weber carb and put it on the motor because I felt it was easier than messing with all the sensors. the motor is strong. It takes a little to get it started, I believe the jets are just not right , once its running it runs good. The transmission is a T150 3 speed with a twin shift kit and the transfer case is a dana 20. Both were rebuilt by myself, I am not a professional mechanic, if you have worked on these jeeps you know its not rocket science. It has 5 new tires on it, they are 2 years old and have maybe 6000 miles on them, the speedo is new but needs the proper gear in the transmission to make it read correct, you have to go off the tach to know your speed. I replaced lots of stuff on this jeep, shocks, brake lines, gas tank, fuel sending unit, seats, windshield frame, doors, fuel tank hoses, new radiator, stuff on the motor has been been replaced, plugs, wires, cap, oil, filter, the regular stuff. its a solid jeep, there are the normal places that have rust on them, the floor pans are in decent shape and I have replacement pans, the side pillars have some rust and I have those replacement parts. the seats are new, the drivers side has a rip where the stitching has come apart, I did a warranty call and received a brand new seat to replace it, I never put it in because I stop driving the jeep. the doors were purchased off craigslist also I had them sand blasted and replaced all the rubber with new, so all new seals, I painted the doors with clearcoat and base coat paint, I am not a painter but they look ok. the hard top is in good shape, the rear window has some rust around the seal but no leaks. the bottom skid plate was missing so I fabbed up something that will handle everyday driving up and down the road but nothing like 4x4 hard use. the twin shift kit was purchased from novak and I had them ground the pins so it would work properly. see all the pictures and ask any questions, the heater core and fan were replaced with GM units and it will blow hard. the heater is very hot. It has a new exhaust from the manifold, to the muffler. the stuff that I know does not work is the horn, the windshield wiper motor does work but how it connects inside the windshield needs to be fixed, all parts are there but it needs to be adjusted. the speedo does not read correct. vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. no refunds, I need 200 dollar non refundable deposit within 48 hours of winning bid. to hold the vehicle, it currently has insurance and a tag on it but the tag is out in june so I will take it off before then, I am not going to renew it. I have the title in hand.
