I am listing this for my brother. He purchased it from the estate of the owner, before him, in March of 2013. It had sat idle under an open garage for a few years. When he purchased the car the odometer stated 119,323, it wasn’t working, therefore, he did not have the mileage recorded on the title. He was going to restore it for his wife, but after driving it for a couple of hundred miles, he parked it and bought her a Mini Cooper. He parked it under our farm shed and it sat there for about 18 months. It has a clear title. This is what I know about this car. The engine runs good and quite but it smokes when it warms up good. I believe it is the valve seals because there is no blow by and the engine starts right up. No knocks or pings, etc. Coolant level does not drop or over heat. The Trans slips in high gear/speed according to my brother. Reverse and lower gears are fine, no slippage. The AC does not work, needs gas? The RF fender has faded cracked paint. I believe it was repaired and repainted in the past. The RR Bumper guard has rust at one corner under the rubber, needs replaced. The radio antenna needs a boot, radio comes on but doesn’t play. The wood grain strip on the dash chipped off. The console wood grain needs replaced or refinished. The tail pipe is missing. RS window switch missing, window motor does operate. The Ragtop looks new but there has a small seam that needs resewn. The dash top has a couple of cracks on top near the center. The door kick plates are cracked and need to be replaced. There is a small 1/4” hole at the bottom of the RH door panel, the LH head rest has some loose stitching on top. The center console armrest needs the armrest restiched at the back. LS floor carpet is wet, I believed caused by the Heater fan cover which leaks and is cracked under the hood. The GOOD things are: The overall body and paint is in good shape. There is a matching spare jack and tool kit. Seats, front and rear, are not torn or cracked. Radiator shroud, belts, and radiator hoses, are all new. The white head liner in the hard top is clean not torn. The tires are about 70%, but weather cracked. In conclusion, all together this car has set for a number of years. It needs work, but it is restorable. You cannot drive it home, so make other arrangements. Sold as is, where is.
