Like other cars in the Type W126 3.0L 6 cylinder diesel series, these were considered to be the best of the W126 diesel line. A beautiful styling and of course the powerful turbo diesel engine. It is easy to see how well this vehicle was pampered and maintained by looking at the proper collection of service history reports. It's loaded with power sun roof, power windows, power door locks, and a radio with a CD changer. This classic car has been so well maintained that it can be used as a daily driver. The air conditioning blows cold. A major $2000 service, parts and labor job; which included, water pump, OEM radiator, belt's, shock tensioner, injector seals & leak off lines, flex exhaust connectors, mono valve, new exhaust, head gasket and a head rebuild "this should have her running for another 200K, no problem" It's rare to find a 300SDL with that type of service performed. Usually people neglect to do this amount of labor due to the high costs involved. Owners get into shock after they get quoted for parts and labor for these jobs. Before purchasing any W126 diesel, make sure that it includes receipts to prove that all the labor was performed (or it will cost you big $$$ to fix it yourself).
