Very nice, early Briggs bodied Ford Model A "Fordor" sedan for sale by MAFCA member. NO RESERVE!!! HIGH BID BUYS THIS NICE CAR! This is an older restoration that still looks and runs great. Absolutely no rust or evidence of body damage or patch panels. The car has a build date of Aug. 25, 1928, making it one of the earliest blindback sedans. The engine, A-347937, was built in Aug. 1928 and is believed to be original to this car. The mileage shown is, needless to say, not the original miles which are unknown. The car is finished in rose beige with a seal brown belt and an excellent seal brown leatherette top. The stripe is orange (sorry, it's tape, but nicely done), the wheels are powder-coated in Tacoma cream. The car has original all steel, all Ford fenders, and 4 relatively new Firestone tires (the spare is new also, but not a Firestone). It has the original radiator shell, and headlight buckets (chromed, not nickel) with fluted lenses. The interior is LeBaron-Bonney and finished in the correct color with correct wool carpets front (not shown in photos) and rear, and a rear window curtain. There are no stains, splits, or other distractions in the interior, but it does show some wear here and there. The car has safety glass all around. The windows all roll up and down as they should. The original Sparton horn aahoogas like a champ; the lights all work (LED brake light) and there is an extra era-authentic stop light on the right rear. The speedometer and trip meter both work just fine. I recently had the entire rear end rebuilt with new ring and pinon gear, etc. I also added a correct, era-authentic exhaust pipe extension. The car has been re-wired, front to back and is still 6 volt with rebuilt powerhouse generator with an internal voltage regulator. This car has never run hot or overheated and has a leakless waterpump. It also has modern points and condenser, but an original appearing distributor. AR features as follows: Red steering wheel, drum taillight, red distributor body and cap, two-blade fan, radiator shroud, powerhouse generator, correct script coil, faux pop-out. This car has some nicks and chips, light scratches here and there and a very small ding or two. It is a driver, not a 97 point show car. However, it looks good and runs out well. You won't be ashamed to drive it around or to a local show. Please note that I intend to keep the license plates and license plate attachments shown. The spare tire cover shown has been changed to a brown one with Ford script. There are no surprises here, do not be fooled by the realistic opening bid price. This is a fine car that you will be proud to own and drive. Look at what these dealers are asking for incorrect, cobbled-up, modified, run-of-the-mill Tudor sedans and you will see that this car is priced fairly and priced to sell.
