Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE! FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED WHY THIS MOST IMPRESSIVE LIMOUSINE IS BEING SOLD: It was purchased in 2013 to be used in a movie about a fictional former president. The producers chose this car because it is the EXACT make (Cadillac), model (Fleetwood) and color (dark blue metallic) as the actual presidential limousines provided to the White House during the Clinton administration (the period that this car was made). They wanted a "presidential" limousine that was as authentic as possible for use in the film, not the kind of car used to take teens to the prom; Presidents of the United States DON'T travel in just any old limo! The production is finished, and it doesn't need the car any longer, so it's available and looking for a new home. A STUNNING VEHICLE! It will have you whistling "Hail To The Chief", and your passengers will feel like a president while riding in this unique CONVERTIBLE parade limousine. Seats nine passengers including the driver, and three can sit on the Parade Deck (above and behind the rear seat row) during parades! This is your opportunity to own one of the most impressive automobiles ever created! This 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Presidential-Series Convertible Parade Limousine started its life as a stretched limousine from Superior Coach. Then, a customizer in Florida removed most of the top, added the parade deck, fitted a removable canvas enclosure, removed the exterior door handles from the middle doors (there are six passenger doors in total) installed sirens and external public address system, two sets of fender flag mounts (with uplight for nighttime display of The Stars and Stripes), and front bumper flashing red lights (since removed for legal reasons). The limousine is also fitted with luxury VOGUE custom whitewall tires that have approximately one-half of their tread remaining. It is painted in a Cadillac dark blue metallic clearcoat finish, not unlike most recent presidential limousines, with blue padded top (over the first row of seats) and interior upholstery and trim. IF THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES STILL TRAVELED IN AN OPEN LIMOUSINE, THIS WOULD BE IT! Compare this limousine to the Cadillac Fleetwood limousines created for the White House during President Clinton's administration... you can readily imagine the president riding in the rear seat row, which is raised approximately 10" higher than normal, and can be illuminated by B-pillar mounted LED floodlights. As created by Superior Coach, this vehicle features a heavy-duty chassis, truck-type brakes, and a heavy-duty rear differential. And with the Corvette-derived LT1 fuel-injected V-8 engine, it has plenty of power to move this impressive car without hesitation. Yet, the observed fuel economy is quite respectable, with 15 mpg/city and 20/mpg highway being observed. While this limousine is twenty years old, it is in very nice condition. There are a few blemishes, however: The hood has a dent to the front edge over the right-side headlamp unit, and that corner of the grille is cracked; the front bumper under the area of the right headlamp unit is dented; there are holes in the lower front bumper on both sides of the limousine where the flashing red lights were mounted (since removed for legal reasons); the windshield has two small chips (each under the size of a dime) that have been professionally repaired; the right headlamp unit has a bullseye chip that has been repaired, and the left headlamp has a crack; there is a small (smaller than a dime) round discoloration on the bright rocker trim of the left-side middle door; the gray-colored plastic trim around the vehicle is weathered and has some small chips; the plastic rear fender extensions ("fins") that house the taillamps have flexed inward from the side moulding trim (a common detail seen on Fleetwoods of this vintage); there are minor paint chips and scratches around the vehicle. But, as you can see from the listing photos, all of these issues are relatively minor, and not too noticeable. The interior is in fine condition, with only some minor wear and small tears in the leather-trimmed seating surfaces; the dash top has no cracks or splits (as it typical on these Fleetwoods). PLEASE REFER TO THE LISTING PHOTOS FOR EXACT VEHICLE CONDITION. Mechanically, the limousine is in very good condition. Besides routine maintenance, within the past year, the brakes have been replaced (pads, rotors, shoes and drums); the driveshaft u-joints have been replaced; the gas tank and sender has been replaced; the alternator has been replaced (with a new, not rebuilt, alternator); a new battery has just been installed. A K&N permanent air filter has been installed, and the engine runs with Mobil 1 full-synthetic motor oil. Note that the short windows in the second- and third-row passenger doors do not open; they are fixed in place. The convertible top is manually-fitted (with experience, it takes about ten minutes for one person to install), and stores in the trunk. The fender-mounted flags, as shown, are removable; the flag staffs are secured from within the engine compartment. THIS LIMOUSINE IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION BY APPOINTMENT. Once you see this car, you will have to have it! It never fails to impress! It is presently located in the Albuquerque, New Mexico, area. Please be advised that I am selling this car for a friend who isn't computer savvy. If you have a question, I will have to relay it to him, so it might take a day to provide an answer. Also, the owner has the limousine for sale locally, and reserves the right to cancel this listing should he sell it directly. This limousine is being sold "AS-IS", with no warranty of any kind whatsoever. The winning bidder/buyer is to submit a $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction or sale. The balance is due in cash or by cleared, certified funds (cashier's check or money order) only, within 7 days of the end of the auction or sale, and prior to the vehicle being released to the buyer or buyer's representative. This limousine is available to be delivered by an experienced driver within the continental United States for a reasonable charge. If interested in this option, please inquire as to cost prior to purchase. ANY QUESTIONS? JUST ASK! WANT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO INSPECT THE LIMOUSINE? PLEASE ASK! Thanks for viewing this listing. On Mar-26-15 at 10:06:49 PDT, seller added the following information: LAST CHANCE TO OWN THIS VERY UNIQUE LIMOUSINE! While the company that created this Presidential-Series Convertible Parade Limousine has produced a handful of other cars, this was their first, and none of the others are exactly like this one! HOW MANY CHANCES DO YOU GET TO OWN A ONE-OF-A-KIND CAR LIKE THIS? Don't let this one get away... it's going cheap, for a mere fraction of its original cost. Imagine driving EIGHT of your friends or family around in a Presidential-Series convertible... it's an experience no one who has ridden in this limousine ever forgets! Or, take it to a car show... it will definitely be a star of the show. And, for those who have inquired about having this car delivered in the continental U.S.: The driver we've used is an experienced professional, and drives vehicles for the motion picture industry. His rate is very reasonable, and is probably much less than having some common carrier handle this special car. He has driven this limousine for us on many occasions, logging thousands of miles (most recently, a trip from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and return), and knows this vehicle's ins-and-outs. If you opt to have him drive the limousine to you, he can show you some of it's unique features, including the proper way to install and remove the convertible top. NO RESERVE!
