"SUMMERTIME IS CALLING ME" Updated info !!! Price reduced!! I was checking the car this morning and put the top down and back up. I noticed some of the threads on the plastic window on the top have dry rotted so that area will have to be resewn. I knew the top would have to be replaced in a year or so but I did not noctice the treads had dry rotted. You can get a new top on ebay for $300-$400. I had to drive it some last week because my daily driver was in the shop to have the water pump replaced. The good news is it drove great with no problems. I felt it was important to make all those watching there is a problem with the plastic window stitching that has dry rotted. My 2000 Boxster is looking for a new owner to help enjoy the summertime and top down fun. I have too many cars and frequently travel with my job and no time to drive them. I purchased a 911 convertible a couple of years after I got the Boxster and don't have time to drive either so that is why I am selling the Boxster. It has 132,800 miles so I averaged driving it about 3700 miles a year and that was mostly just weekend driving. I purchased the Boxster in late 2007 off ebay from a used car dealer in Arkansas. It had 105,000 miles and the engine had 50,000 miles. The used car dealer purchased it and was driving back to his dealership and the radiator was low in water and the engine overheated and froze so he replaced the engine with one that had only 50,000 miles. To my knowledge there are no mechical problems with it and I have always had it service by a certified Porsche mechanic. It drives great and a joy to drive with the top down. There are some dings and scratches that are normal for a 15 to 16 year old vehicle. The front bumper defintely needs painting and I would do that if I was going to keep it. The left rear taillight is cracked and that happened in the parking lot at the grocery store. I have tried to include pictures of the areas that have dings or scratches. The battery was replace approximately 2 1/2 years ago and the tires just over a year ago. There is an aftermarket blue tooth radio with remote but I also have the original radio which will be included. The cruise control does not work and stopped working a couple of years after I purchased it but since I did very little long distance highway driving with it I did not have it repaired. The turn signal does not automatically click off and has to be turned of manually. I had it replaced with one I purchased on ebay but it had the same problem which the seller did not disclose so again since I don't drive it that much it wasn't a big deal so I have not had it replaced. The top in in good condition but will probably need replacing in a couple of years. It has 18 inch wheels and the rims are from a 911.
