Up for auction is this really cool 1971 Honda CB450 motorcycle. These older classics are becoming harder to find and make fantastic cruisers or bobbers. This bike has been sitting for a little under 8 years since it has been on the road. It was stored in a dry garage with tarps over it ever since. It does not start currently because of a dead battery and I'm sure the tank, gas lines and carbs will probably need to be gone through. The usual stuff that needs attention after a bike sits a while. It kicks over fine with the kick starter and has great compression. These engines are pretty bullet proof and once the fuel system is cleaned they fire right up. I took lots of pictures of the bike so that you get a good look at it. I am not an expert on bikes but will gladly answer any questions you might have so PLEASE ASK! Now for some details. The bike is in average condition but as you can imagine has a few issues for a bike that is 44 years old. I looked around on line and anything that would need replaced seems to be available and at decent prices. The paint on it is not very good. Someone (not me!) years ago repainted it an orange/red color. It is starting to chip off and could use a new paint job. The chrome isn't too bad but does have some light specs, spots and scrapes of rust here and there. Most of which will probably buff off but that will be up to the new owner. The seat is O.K but has one small 1" long tear on it. The gas tank is probably the worst issue. As I mentioned it will need repainted and probably sealed on the inside because there is some rust visible. It also has a dent in the upper right hand corner (see pics). The gauges all look good and work along with the lights and blinkers. There are no rear blinkers due to the metal storage bags. The front brake does not have any pressure so I'm not sure if it is out of fluid or what but probably an easy fix. Tires have tread left on them so they have some life left in them. The rubber on the foot pegs and hand grips show a little wear but normal for the age. It has the key for the ignition and a key for the locking saddle bags. There is not a title available for the bike. The motorcycle is being sold "where is-as is" and does not come with any guarantee due to the age of the bike. A $200 dollar non-refundable paypal deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auction ending. The remaining balance will be due when the bike is picked up. I will not ship the bike. If the new owner would like to have a shipping company pick it up that is fine but will be handled COMPLETELY by the new owner. All I will agree to do is open my garage for them to load it. These old bikes are so COOL and with a little TLC this one will be cruising the streets in no time!!!! Summertime cruising is just around the corner and this is the perfect project bike to join the fun!!!
