This is a 1982 Mercedes Benz 380 SL Convertible Runs and Drives Good Hardtop and Soft top. The Soft top has a couple of holes. V8 Gasoline Motor, Automatic Transmission. Plenty of Power. The car has been repainted. It has some dents, dings and scratches. It is good from far and far from perfect. This is a decent driver. I won the car on eBay in Nov 2014. I drove the car home 30 miles. I had it up to 70mph and it drove fine. I also drove it around town about 20 more miles. It is currently in storage for the winter but can be accessed for pickup. The brakes are good. The car did not shimmy or shake while braking. The transmission shifts smoothly. The heater blower was a little loud at times. The power windows work. The radio is present but not connected. Glass is good. The car can be enjoyed as is or an easy restoration. The odometer shows 160000mi but has stopped working. I do not know how long it has not worked. The following description is what was listed when I purchased the car. Take it for what it is worth. "1982 380SL drives very well a fun car to drive around -California car, no rust, all original, 160,000 miles, odometer not working - gear broke and needs to be replaced(a common problem with these antique cars) , original radio is there but needs to be wired. The car has a high performance amplifier. Has back seat with seat belts. The hard top and soft top comes along with the car. The hard top is in good condition, but the soft top has tears in the front and back that can be repaired by stitching. This is a neat functional car. The tires are in great shape and the wheels are in decent shape. Buyer must arrange for shipping/pickup.What you see is what you get. We bought it to use as a summer cruiser and did not realize how small the leg room in the back seating area is. It is not feasible for our family of four.
