You are bidding on what I have found to be "the" most loaded 1978 F-250 XLT Rangers I have ever found. It has NO RUST, anywhere I can find... floors, cab, fenders, bed, etc. all solid. Original paint is in very good and shiny condition... this one has obviously been stored indoors. It features both the Trailer Special badging as well as Camper Special badging... never seen another that had both. It's so loaded... 460 4v that runs perfectly, HD C6 trans that shifts perfectly, cruise control that works, A/C that works, power steering, power brakes, and an ultra-rare factory CB that's hard-mounted behind the seat, with a hand-held microphone / controller that plugs in under the dash, hangs on the dash, and operates through the factory AM/FM radio, all of which are working. Badged as "Ford" and rare as hen's teeth! The engine has been serviced professionally with a full tune-up, factory-replacement Autolite 4v carb, correct choke assembly and factory linkage (warms up like a new vehicle, kicks down when warm as it should), plugs, points, wires, cap, rotors, etc. Brakes done recently and working perfectly. The carpet was removed from the interior floor (inexpensive and super-easy to replace, if you choose), and the original seat has a nice cover over it. The balance of the interior is outstanding... dash perfect, gauges beautiful, glass not perfect but good, etc. This truck is an absolute pleasure to drive. It is also extremely straight, with only a one small dent on the side, near the back end of the truck. Original wheels, original hub caps, good tires, XLT trim package, excellent. Just a fantastic example of one of the best trucks Ford ever built. Lots of life left in this one. In my opinion, a steal at $3,500.00 cash. I'm a huge Ford enthusiast, and this is the ONLY one I've ever seen with the factory Ford CB option. Stand out among your Ford friends for not much money at all. While in my opinion, I have accurately described the truck factually, it indeed a 37-year old classic perfectly suited to a very minor restoration (seat cover and carpet) to be t4uly outstanding.
