Vehicle Detail

It turns out you can have too many vehicles, so I finally decided to let this one go. When have you last seen a stock 1986 CRX Si? Well, completely stock apart from the aftermarket 1980s high-ish end sound system (Alpine) and the eightiestastic louvers. It even has the stock exhaust on it. 1986 CRX Si, I'm the third owner and have owned it for a bit over two years. The person I bought it from had owned it for less than a year and had bought it for his son, who wanted something "cooler"? I bought it because I always wanted one and finally had the chance to own a mostly rust free one. Ah yes, rust. It has very little around the windshield - see photos - and the other typical rust areas I inspected are rust free. When I replaced the shocks two years ago, I was amazed that the shock towers were in pristine shape, on an 80s Honda! When I bought the car two years ago, I immediately did the following:Had timing belt and water pump replacedReplaced all four shocks with KYB GR2s as the original shocks on the car were rather well usedWithin the last six months, I did the following work:Front brake overhaul with new disks (Brembo), NAPA reman calipers, Porterfield R4S pads, stainless braided brake lines (front only). Also changed the brake fluid with high performance Dot 4 at the same time.Replaced coolant and thermostatReplaced transmission fluid with Redline MTLReplaced pedal cluster with a used one - as usual the spot weld had given up on the original oneReplace the alternatorCondition is as expected for a car that's been looked after but is unrestored. The seats show some wear (see pictures), it has minor cracks in the front mask and the fenders and the aforementioned rust around the windshield. The door cards had been cut to install speakers, however I have a set of uncut door cards in the right color that come with the car, plus a rear speaker covers with mounts. Also, the previous owner took a stab at "repairing" the sun visors, with somewhat questionable results. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the country - I've used it as a part time commuter and drove it to the Bay Area several times. Payment - $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours after the end of the auction, balance on collection. If you plan to have the car shipped instead of picking it up yourself, please let me know beforehand. I can store the car for a couple of weeks, but not much longer. That said, if you want to make it a fly & drive, I'll be happy to pick you up at the airport in Reno, NV. On Feb-05-15 at 10:40:27 PST, seller added the following information: Just drove it to work this morning to keep it exercised :). While doing that I noticed that the rear wiper and washer weren't working so please keep that in mind. I suspect wiring issue but I'm not sure that I will be able to investigate before the end of the auction.
