1948 Studebaker M5 Step Side Pick Up Truck Vintage Rat Rod Gasser Project? No Reserve!! You are bidding on a 1948 Studebaker M5 Step Side Pick Up Truck Vintage Rat Rod Gasser Project ? Comes as pictured with some minor work needed to make it a driver. Seat has been recovered, new glass and seals installed front and rear. It has a flathead In-line 6cyl with a manual transmission. Electrical system has been upgraded to a 12V system. Will start and run with fuel prime to the carb. Due to old gas in the fuel tank, it will need to be cleaned out or replaced. My plan was to mount a beer keg style fuel tank in the bed and run new fuel lines. Very solid body with some minor rust. Previous body repairs can been seen on the lower doors and floor pans. Previous owner also modified the exhaust manifold so it runs 6 individual exhaust pipes, it's quit unique. I have a nearly new stock exhaust manifold, if interested in keeping the truck stock. Factory front straight axle would make this a great truck for a drivetrain swap. I was thinking a gasser project would be cool, but I just do not have the time for it. This truck has been in dry storage for nearly 30 years. Missing the door glass, running boards and bumpers. Contact me for payment options.
