NOTE: ENGINE IS OUT OF THE CAR** being sold this way** It was a good runner when removed. Owner & his father were going to clean it up,paint-chrome it out & detail he engine compartment. Turns freely (not stuck; always had oil in it, & has no visible leaking spots. PARTS: I have all the parts to engine (pictures can be furnished of parts): fan, housing,generator, carb, coil, etc, etc. Engine surrounds also. Have good Rear bumper & bumper mounting brackets; front shown on car. Spare tire/rim. Other parts in a box to be inventoried. ROLLS & STEERS. I would guess it will need brakes redone, cables?, tires, etc. BODY: Doors are excellent, still factory rockers & pans ( in survivor state; salvagable). All there from 1974! Some bondo. Looks like a fender weld (passenger front). TITLE: Clear Florida title. Metal VIN plate number in dash matches the title. So, those of you seriously capable of completing such a project might want to "ramp-up" your bidding knowing the long range value of this VW convertible ( Ghia conv. has increased exponentially due to the fact that no one can afford the 60's Porsche cabriolet, or even coupes, or even Porsche kit cars; Ghia is closest iconic styling to these relics ). AS I said to the local offeree, I might get to bench testing the motor on the stand it sits on. If all runs as I expect, and compression readings are acceptable, I would have it installed, then expecting to sell at the low retail value per NADA ($7k+). $4k reserve gets it. I would have to lower the "buy it now" price to $4,010 or so for a "quick click"/ OWN NOW buy. Wait 7 more days, or in your garage 3-4 more days. I can recommend a shipper.
