Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 1995 Ford Taurus SHO. This was the last year of the 2nd generation SHO and is equipped with a 5-speed manual, which was rather rare in '95. I've owned the car for about 2 years, having purchased it from the previous owner who owned it over 10 years. I have all the paperwork from when she owned and the work I did to it. CONDITION The Bad Might as well get this out of the way: The original paint is rough. - It looks good from 25', but any closer and it has a lot of issues.Engine leaks oil. - P.O. said it started leaking after she overfilled the crankcase.Airbag Sensor light on.- P.O. addressed issue with a strategically placed piece of electrical tape on the gauge cluster glass.Squeaky bushing in rear suspension.- Fairly load.Front Seat Upholstery.- Beginning to tear at the seams, could use new covers.Drivers Seat Switch. - Intermittently quits working. I'm including a replacement switch assembly.Moonroof Sun Shade. - The fabric is beginning to come off the panel.Interior is Dirty! - What it needs more than anything is a really REALLY good cleaning. The Good Everything Else! Seriously!Straight Body - While the paint is shot, the SHO needs no body work. I didn't even notice any dings while I was taking pictures of it.Rebuilt Motor (29K) - The engine runs great, lots of power, good gas mileage. Fires right up the first time, every time. Has been running on full synthetic oil from beginning.New Clutch - Well, not quite brand new, but just barely broken in.Tight Suspension - A lot of new parts in the suspension replaced recentlyNew Tires - A set of 4 Faulken 225/55/v16 Performance Tires installed less than 1,000 miles agoFront End Alignment - Same time as the tires.Brakes Work Great - Push the pedal in the middle, it stops!New Engine & Transmission Mounts - Replaced within the last 10K miles. Body mounts too. All Fluids Flushed - Brakes, Power Steering, Coolant with the last 1000 miles.Borla Exhaust - Performance Cat-Back Exhaust. Great Exhaust Note.Aftermarket Y-Pipe - Not sure of the manufacturer. The stock Y-Pipe is a real bottleneck on these cars.Suspension Upgrades - Front and Rear Strut Tower Braces and Traction Bars installed. Best Handling SHO I ever owned, Hands Down.Aftermarket Alarm System - Seems to work fine. I've never had very good luck with these, so I just use it as a remote door entry.A/C Blows Cold! - Nuff said.Everything Works! - Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Moonroof, Cruise, Climate Control, Gauges, All lights including Fog Lights.Even the Power Antenna Works! How rare is that?? So does the factory JBL CD sound system, although the volume down button doesn't. (I use the one on the dashboard).12 Years of Receipts - The P.O had a large number of parts replaced, and kept a record of everything.Bonus Stuff! - I'm including a Shop Manual, Car Cover, Front Seat Covers, Wiring Harnesses for an aftermarket stereo, and anything else I come across... I've owned a number of SHO's over the years, and while some may have looked better than this one, none of them could touch this car performance-wise (A new paint job would make this the best looking too). Driving this car never fails to put a smile on my face. But all good things must come to an end, so my loss is your gain. Disclaimer: Please remember your bidding on a 20 year old vehicle, so adjust your expectations accordingly. I have described the condition of the vehicle to the best of my ability. If I remember anything else I will add it to this description as the Auction progresses. This vehicle is sold as-is. If you have any questions, please contact before bidding. There is a $500 Non- Refundable Deposit due 48 hours after the end of the Auction. The balance is due within 7 days by Certified Check or Postal Money Order. I also accept cash! I will work with you if you wish to have the car shipped to your location. Thanks for looking.
