Vehicle Detail

Today we offer our beautiful 1957 Chevy Bel-Air Nomad 2 door wagon in Colonial Cream and India Ivory This Nomad is Located in Tucson, Arizona, just two hours south of the Phoenix area. The last owner started with a very solid low mileage California car with the seamless tube frame, completing the project with new paint, new interior, redoing all the chrome and stainless. The work was done in California in 1996, keeping the exterior stock other than the wheels & tires. The rebuilt 350 engine and 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission was installed at that time, and now sports an MSD ignition, chrome intake and custom valve covers & air cleaner, while still maintaining the generator and power steering pump as stock.. Original drum brakes all around with late model vacuum booster. Very original interior in 1957 pattern, using 1956 materials (an old customizing style from the 70's, I'm told). Original Instruments are all operational, plus low mounted Auto Meter aftermarket gauges to monitor the vitals. Wipers are missing motor (we don't need wipers in Tucson). We do not possess the original wheel or hubcaps. Odometer replaced at 30,509 miles. Yes, it drives like a 57 Chevy! The last owner built this car for his wife to drive, but she preferred her modern car. I bought the car from the restorer, and now it is time for us to sell. This Nomad has been brought up to a very good show/driver quality, garage kept and driven regularly since. This vehicle presents very well. The paint is in good condition with only a few minor blemishes from normal wear in the less than four thousand miles it has on it since restoration. The Interior is also in excellent condition with minimal wear. All the lighting, gauges, turn signals, and dash cluster (but not the clock) are in working order. Features include: 350 V8 (stock rebuild), 4 barrel Quadrajet, MSD Ignition, Chrome Intake 700R4 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission Power Steering Power Drum Brakes New Dual Exhaust 15" B/G Old School Chrome Wheels W/ raised while letter Cooper Cobra radial Tires Very nice combination of classic style with the ability to keep up with today's highway speeds. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. The reserve is set well below Hagerty's valuation. Good luck and happy bidding! I do not need any help in selling the car, so please don't contact me with such offers. Not really looking for trades (maybe a Dearborn Deuce). I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time as we are offering this car for sale locally and at the car shows we attend.
