Purchased new July 2003 with 39 miles on the odometer. Has had factory recommended oil/filter changes every 5000 miles since new. Everything operates fine. Air conditioning blows very cold, never required servicing, warms to operating temperature quickly and heats well. All lights changed (headlamps, rear turn/stop/backup lamps, 3rd brake lamp assy all bulbs, license plate lamps, interior lighting) within last 2 years and operate. Dash illumination bulbs changed 3 years ago, should be good for a long time. Recent important maintenance: Replaced timing belt, timing belt tensioner and pulley at 122000 miles, front sway bar links at 154717 miles (20 minute job), right front tie rod end 155486 miles, ignition lock cylinder 163904 miles, another 20 minute job, original water pump at 189857 miles (lasted forever!), front brake rotors and pads and right caliper at 208327 miles. I also replaced the cabin air filter, engine air filter and spark plugs and accessory drive belt and tensioner pulley this past November. Clutch is good, no chatter/slip still tight. Tires are Barum Bravuris II with between 3 and 4/32nds tread left. Excellent tires and the third set of them I put on the car. This tire has my highest recommendation, quiet, excellent wet/dry traction, a smooth ride and reasonably priced.Good for about 40,000 miles. The car runs beautifully. Bodywork is still pretty clean. A bit of corrosion is making itself known along the bottom edge of he left front door and right rear doors. Apparently a common thing as I've seen it on other Focus' of like age. Any stone chips that may have appeared over the years were immediately touched up. The drivers seat stitching just behind my left calf is a bit undone and the hood release handle came loose. I've been using an old pair of pliers to pop it open for so many years I can't remember, LOL. Hey it works, but I still have the handle. Center armrest was removed as it interfered with my right elbow while shifting. Will supply old parts if required by buyer. The only areas that need attention are replacement of the catalytic converter. It still has the original and a check of fault codes indicate it is finally used up. The check gas cap light is on indicating a leak, loose vent line or faulty purge system component. On the other hand, the original exhaust is still quiet and still feels solid every time I check it when I'm under the car! I attribute that to most of the life of this car has been spent on the highway. About 70% of my weekly commute are highway miles, the remainder around town. Mileage runs 30-32 MPG during the summer and about 28-30 during winter. I regularly saw 34 MPG with the A/C on and up to 36 MPG when I wasn't in a hurry. Also included in the deal are many rotable parts and some extras I thought I might need, but never did. New KYB GR-2 Gas struts and rear shocks, cabin air filters, engine air filter, master cylinder, pulleys, a new exhaust O2 sensor (which will be needed for the catalytic converter), thermostats, Ford Focus factory shop manual and a Haynes manual (not illustrated). Basically all this car has ever needed was gasoline and regular oil changes over its' entire life so far. She's always gotten me home. All receipts for maintenance from day of purchase included. Personally, I would drive this car anywhere, but it is a used car and so is being sold "AS IS' without any warranty implied or otherwise. Payment via PayPal either in full at time of sale or 250 dollars down payment at time of sale and remainder in cash at time of pick up.
