This is a magnificent 50th Anniversary Corvette Convertible that has always been garage kept and well-maintained. This is the lowest priced, lowest mileage, best equipped 50th Anniversary Corvette Convertible for sale on Ebay or anywhere else for that matter! IMPORTANT........PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!! This car recently met it's reserve and was SOLD on EBAY MOTORS...then I received an E-mail and a phone call from the winning bidder. He explained that his wife forbid him from buying this car.....even though it was his "DREAM CAR" In our conversation he explained to me that he was a partially disabled Viet Nam Vet...which really hit home with me....I am from the same era. He offered to reemburse me for my Ebay fees which I thought was a very nice gentlemanly gesture. With all that said ....PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR IF YOU NEED PERMISSION FROM ANYONE ELSE TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE...OR IF YOU NEED FINANCING...MAKE SURE IT IS ALREADY SECURED AND IN PLACE. It has the dual-comfort electronic control climate system and the tilt and telescopic steering wheel with the power electric telescopic steering wheel. It has the great sounding Bose Stereo/CD system, Memory Package, as well as the DUAL SPORT power seat system with power dual outside mirrors. It has the ACTIVE HANDLING system as well. As you can see in one of the photos it also has the HUD (Heads Up Display) or outside electronic display feature. I have only listed a few of the features....most are familiar with all the great features of this car. It has just 36,274 careful miles which translates into being driven just an average of 3200 miles a year....the reason for the low mileage was this car was limited to Summertime driving and was not subjected to any harsh driving conditions. This car is NOT currently being driven and is kept in an air-conditioned garage in Boca Raton, Florida...it is started and warmed up at least once a week...so the mileage you see listed will be the mileage on the odometer when the car is shipped to you or should you come to pick it up. It has never been involved in any type of accident and has not had any body work, paint work or even paint touch up. This car is all original and everything works as it should. It has always been owned by a mature adult and never raced or driven hard....and it shows in the way it looks and drives. This is one "TIGHT" convertible with no rattles or noises that shouldn't be there. The paint is in EXCELLENT condition and has a deep brilliant shine. The very few light scratches which one would expect on a 2003 Model with 36,000 miles are too small to show up in the photos. I was able to find one very tiny paint chip but it is too small to show up in photos...it is the size of the tip of a ball point pen. This car has never been smoked in nor has it ever had any type of water damage. The interior is excellent and has no visible cuts or tears. The interior is in EXCELLENT condition and is indicative of how well this car has been treated since new. There are no rips or tears or any sign of excess wear or abuse. The carpeting is also Excellent and the floor mats are in great condition and are included with the sale. Included are both sets of keys & key FOBS. It has a PERFECT CARCHECK report and I would urge you to pull such a report for your own due diligence. The custom gorgeous rims were installed just a couple of thousand miles ago and 4 all new quality steel belted radials were installed with the rims. Therefore all the tires are EXCELLENT and only have a few thousand miles on them. All were high-speed balanced and the car drives magnificent! I would estimate that 90% of the tread is still on these tires. The 4 ORIGINAL Polished Chrome stock Corvette 50th Anniversary rims are included with the sale.(They are EXCELLENT) They are packed in the boxes that the custom rims were contained. On the front are an almost brand new pair of Hankook Ventus V12 K110 Hi-speed tires (245/45R 17Y) and they are mounted on gorgeous Black with Chrome trim Manta Cray Custom Rims. On the rear are an almost brand new pair of Hankook Ventus V12 K110Hi-Speed 275/40R.18Y and they are mounted on identical gorgeous Black with Chrome trim Manta Cray Custom Rims. The car was aligned to factory specs, the tires high-speed computer balanced and 4 nickel valve cores were used. The Black with chrome trim custom rims are nothing short of spectacular on this showroom condition Yellow Corvette Convertible. There are NO curb scrapes or curb rashes on any of these rims. For those interested...here is a little piece of mostly unknown Corvette History I was fortunate to grow up in South Florida and at age 17, met Jim Rathmann. Jim had a speed shop on N.W. 27th Avenue and it became my "2nd Home" In 1960 Jim won the Indy 500 after placing 2nd on 3 other tries. We welcomed him back at the speed shop with a huge sign that said "3 Times a BRIDESMAID.....Now FINALLY A BRIDE! I bought a 60 Impala at Luby Chevrolet and with the help of Jim turned it into a GRAND NATIONAL 1/4 mile winner. Jim moved to Melbourne,FL in 1961 and opened Jim Rathmann Chevrolet/Cadillac. I bought a new 1962 Black 409/409 SS from Jim and thru his sponsorship campaigned under the name "Black Thunder" It was directly through Jim that I met much of the "Chevrolet Family" in 1962.....Zora Duntov, Ed Cole, Bruce Crower and many more...needless to say I was in awe of these guys. They were all regular "down to Earth" nice guys! Years later, in 1988, I met Zora Duntov and his wife Elfie at a Corvette meet. Over dinner, he related the following story which I would like to share with all my fellow guys and girls Chevy & Corvette lovers. He said it was Harley Earl who designed and conceived the 1st Corvette in 1951. The car went into production in 1953 with just 300 of the hand made bodies produced. The car was only available in Polo White with a 150hp 6cyl engine and a 2 speed auto transmission...performance was anemic and the car did not have roll up glass windows. In 1954 Chevrolet produced 3640 Corvettes with a few additional colors offered & sales were TERRIBLE!!!!! As the 1955 models hit the dealer's showrooms, almost 2600 of the 1954 models were sitting in dealers lots and showrooms unsold and unwanted...the cars just weren't selling...mainly due to the poor performance.....Chevrolet brass wanted to dump the Corvette and make 1955 the last year of a failed idea. ENTER ZORA ARKUS DUNTOV......At his urging, the 700 Corvettes made in 1955 all had Chevy's new 265cid V-8 with 195 HP and the sales took off. Zora's constant insistance of making the 1955 Corvette with Chevy's new hot V-8 had saved the Corvette from extinction. They sold as fast as they hit the dealer's showrooms. It still took almost 2 years for all the 54 models to finally be sold but with Zora influencing his performance ideas Corvette began to take on an entire new perspective. In 56 dual Quads were added and by 1957, a 4/speed manual transmission, a solid lifter Camshaft, dual point distributor and a Fuel Injection option were Corvette options. Posi-traction rear ends with great 1/4 mile ratios were also offered. I was fortunate to be able to buy one of Zora's personal cars directly from him over dinner.... but will not bore you with those details...that car is not and never will be for sale...I just wanted to share with you all that had it not been for Zora's influence, I am convinced that the Corvette would have disappeared at the end of the 55 model run....people just didn't want a 150HP 6 cylinder with a 2 speed auto transmission.
