2003 Dodge Freightliner Passenger Sprinter. Rebadged as a Mercedes. 10 passenger window van complete with all seats. Rust free southern vehicle, good tinted privacy glass all around with heated rear windows 140" tall roof with dual air. The van has been used as a local service vehicle Recent complete transmission rebuild, water pump, alternator, harmonic balancer, radiator, air-conditioning condenser and dryer. New Mercedes grill has also been installed. This vehicle has been in a recent low speed front end collision. There was no frame damage and all the doors meet and close properly. The body was rebuilt enough to make it safe and drivable to put it back in service and determine whether any overt or hidden mechanical issues were present before a decision would be made to keep the truck and restore-repaint the body. As a result, unlike the pictures for the listing, the hood is now white and the bumper is cracked and missing the chrome inserts and the center chrome license plate bracket. To make it pretty again, the front fenders will need to be aligned but have no damage, the front end will need the bumper skin and chrome pieces, and will also need two new headlights due to broken motor brackets (however the are now hard mounted to the truck and are working and aligned properly). The eyebrow pieces under the headlights since they attach to the headlights, several braces and anchors behind the front bumper and grill will also need to be replaced. The drivers side door skin will also need to be replaced or repaired due to a prior parking lot bump and run. The pictures were taken for a change in insurance about a year and 20k miles ago, but still represent the condition of the complete vehicle, other than the information listed above The engine has blown a rod bearing, but it is running. It has been checked by a Mercedes Benz dealer and our private fleet mechanic. They both recommended to replace the engine as a long block due to mileage and accident history. The truck was running and driving perfectly, with no outward signs of the impending failure, and was being used daily.The transmission shifts smoothly and the rest of the running gear is fine.
