Vehicle Detail
Well I'm sure no expert on mustangs, but I got this fastback from an elderly man whom had it sitting idle in storage for the last 5-6 years. This is what I call a "Barn Find". This car has not ran for several years, and its just exactly how I received it. It's very dirty, and could use some cleaning and detailing. It was parked because of a leaking gas tank, and then, put on the "Back Burner" due to family health reasons. ( If I had not found it...It would probably sit for another 20 years). The gas is old and smells awful. Here is what I know about the car...It's a genuine "A" code 289 4-barrel car with factory disc brakes. The car was running and driving excellent when last parked away into storage. At one time the car was all re-conditioned, and featured in several mustang books. (see Photo). I'm sure someone more mechanical than myself could have this fastback up and running again in very short order. The engine has the typical performance modifications. (headders, big-cam, big intake & carb. dual exhaust, etc.). The floors, rockers, trunk, etc are excellent, and not rusty like most mustangs this old.The interior is older but not that bad. The paint is old and showing wear. This car would make a great daily driver just as it is ...or perhaps would be a neat candidate for a restoration. This Mustang is almost 50 years old and being sold as is. ( Not running). I would much rather you plan for the worst, and hope for the best, than be disappointed in anyway. My opening bid is $12,500.00 with no reserve. Now all this having been said I cant imagine finding a nicer or more unmolested 1966 fastback like this for the price. If I do not sell it as-is, I will have my shop get it up and running for me and re list it accordingly. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when I found it.It's sure not perfect, but I think the winning bidder will be elated. The Mustang books with it featured, are included with the car. I do not for see any disappointments. Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. If you have zero feedback, contact me before you bid or your bid will be canceled, and you will be blocked from further bidding as well.
