Up for sale is my 1956 Chevy 3100 half-ton pickup featuring the very rare and desirable wrap-around big back window ("Panoramic" rear window) and short stepside bed. This is "the" one to own, exactly the same as a 1955 other than fender spear placement. This is a complete truck that was running and driving six years ago, prior to being parked. It has a '58 283 V8 engine, and original 3-speed manual transmission. I removed the air cleaner to check linkage, choke assembly, etc. Other than a repaint in root beer brown (over original red), and a different bench seat, the balance of the truck is otherwise original and unmolested. It is my belief that the truck could once again be a runner/driver with minimal time and money. The body is very straight, and there is minimal rust presenting... floor, rockers, steps, and hinge pillars are rust-free. Lower door edges have rust, cab corners are beginning to show. Relatively speaking, a very dry truck. The odometer shows exactly 60,000 miles, and is presumed to be original and accurate.
