Vehicle Detail

Feel free to call me at 360-936-9257 and make me a close, reasonable offer. I am selling my 1955 GMC model 100 half-ton, five-window (Pilothouse) Series I short bed, step-side pickup. This is an original 59-year-old survivor, still utilizing its' 6-volt electrical system, inline 248 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine, three-on-the-tree manual transmission, foot starter button, etc. This truck is a true unmolested survivor, showing 43,751 miles on the odometer. She's wearing an old blue repaint over her original Mariner Blue paint, original blue vinyl upholstery, and two-tone blue interior. Yes, she has some dings and dents. No, she does not have any major rust-through issues; the only corrosion is surface rust where the paint has failed, other than one very small spot on the bottom of a door. The dash is completely original and uncut, and the gauges look beautiful. The wood in the bed has been replaced and looks very nice, as well as being functional. I just finished up a comprehensive major mechanical service on the truck, including a complete rebuild of the brake system (new master cylinder, clean/replace lines as necessary, new wheel cylinders, and new shoes), front and rear axle bearing service, rear end and manual transmission oil service, clutch adjustment, engine service (oil, filter, and tune-up), fuel system service (clean fuel tank & lines, rebuild carb), electrical system service (including new 6V battery, generator, and voltage regulator), and coolant system service (including a new water pump and belt). The old blue paint still has some decent shine left, and she's got that old truck patina that's so popular these days... 1955 Series one, 5-window, short bed... she's got all the desirable features. Also, the truck has a clear Oregon title that actually matches the VIN on the truck! The wheels are original, and the tires appear to be NOS (new old stock) "pie crust" bias ply's from a bygone era... very cool. The glass is all good, and the window regulators operate smoothly. I am installing new door weatherstrip to keep her weather-tight and quiet. The truck is located in Gresham, Oregon. You may call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make myself and the truck available to your carrier. While every effort is being made to describe this truck accurately, it is in fact a 59-year-old classic, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Please be prepared to remit payment within three days of auctions' end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer. Thank you, and happy biddingOn Dec-10-14 at 09:08:10 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: Regarding the interior, I have installed a reproduction shift knob, and replaced both window cranks with nice originals. If you add a new headliner and floor mat, you've got a very nice original interior once again! Tim 360-936-9257
