This is a 1971 Honda C70 Trailbike. It has 890 original miles on it and is in fantastic condition...... 3 Speed. I will start by telling you what is not original on this bike.Tires and tubes ( obviously),buddy pegs,spark plug and fuel lines.Speedometer cable, brake cables and brake linkage are new Honda NOS parts and the seat cover has been replaced with a after market product. The left side engine cover was replaced due to a small crack and replaced with a one piece Honda CT70 cover.The chain is 43 years old and is a little loose from stretching,I would recommend a new chain be installed. I will do my best to describe this bike and not misrepresent it. The frame has been media blasted and re- painted with the original 3 step process Candy Gold Erethane paint and then clear coated. All the painting products were supplied by Marbles Motors in Texas. Randy really knows his stuff ! Even with only 890 miles on the engine, I thought it best to have it torn down and examined. It was in fine condition,but I had the cylinder honed and a new piston and rings put in anyway. The valves were cleaned up and re-seated. Engine has been painted and polished. Everything else in the engine case was in great shape( clutch plates, crank shaft, cam chain, ect.) New Honda Points were also added. The carb has been rebuilt with a Honda rebuild kit. The electrical harness was examined and had no flaws. Engine only has 5 miles on it since the work was completed and is not yet fully broken in. The following parts were re-chromed: Shifter pedal, heat shield,airbox covers,kick starter, rims and brake pedal. The front hubs have been re-painted Honda Silver Cloud grey and the right rear hub is polished chrome. The exhaust is in fine condition, mostly from lack of use. All the other chrome I would rate a 9.5/10.. There is no rust and no pitting. It runs smooth, shifts through all the gears as it should, and of course, does not smoke. Lights and horn work fine.It is a beautiful little bike and would make a great Christmas present for someone. Engine # CT70E246658 Frame # CT700246713 Clear CA. Title.
