Vehicle Detail
This car is a beauty and a head-turner. They don't make them like this anymore. However, there is a problem with the transmission, and I'm done putting money into this car. As the receipts will show, I have maintained the vehicle while owning it, and the tires, and car in general are in great condition (see pictures). However, there is significant transmission slippage and I don't want to fiddle with a new jag transmission. Skilled at mechanical things? You can pick this car up for a song, replace the transmission, and you are the proud owner of a really nice Jag. Note -- although the care DOES drive (engine seems okay), it is NOT safe to take on the highway. Difficult to get the car above 30, and I don't even want to talk about hills... Note also that given it sitting here through the recent snow storm and rain (earlier), it needs a good polish and cleaning (outside). The white on the hood is salt and snow residue. It sits under a bunch of trees...enough said. The wet spot on the trunk is just water where a wiperblade was sitting (I changed the blades). The vehicle has passed all emissions and safety inspections and is good through March of next year. Bluebook is ~$3K to $5K for this vehicle. My buy-it-now price reflects a dying transmission. I've seen used transmissions for $1200. Probably less if you can get it from a junk yard yourself. We were using this car as a local commuter vehicle up until about a month ago, when this problem appeared. Title is completely clear and good -- not a salvage or anything strange. Sale is AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Get it out of my driveway! Buyer is responsible for shipping and pick-up fees. Payment is due within 48 hours of the auction closing. I can accept charge card, so payment by credit is fine. On Dec-06-14 at 20:20:35 PST, seller added the following information: BUY IT NOW: $2000
