2004 Volkswagen Passat TDI
This is a very nice and well maintained Volkswagen Passat TDI. It has the heated leather seats, sunroof, wood grain interior trim, Monsoon sound system and steering wheel controls. This car does have 252,000 miles on it but there is no way you could ever tell by looking at it or driving it. It runs and drives like a new one. It would be hard to find a nicer one with 100,000 miles on it
Of course the biggest feature on this car is the very rare TDI turbo diesel engine which should get 38-40 mpg on the highway. The Passat was only available with a diesel engine in 2004-2005 until the new ones came out in 2012. Theare not very many of these cars left in this condition. We did fully service this car and we took care of all of the maintenance issues that these cars have. We spent over $4,500 making sure this car is absolutely in the best shape possible and ready for many more trouble free miles. Let me list all of the things we did. If you know anything about these cars you will really appreciate this.
Balance shaft delete - to correct an engineering defect that these cars had. (Includes new oil pump)
Timing belt and water pump change
Camshaft replacement with new lifters and bearings (another engineering weakness these cars had)
All new motor mounts (liquid filled) and transmission mounts
Transmission service including new fluid and filter
Oil and filter change with the proper 505.01 spec Pentosin 5W40 synthetic
Fuel Filter change
Tandem pump replacement
Air filter and cabin air filter replacement
Door lock actuator and window regulator replacement - Another common failure item
New headlight assemblies
The car has nearly new tires and brakes. There are no warning lights illuminated and no leaks or rust. The only cosmetic flaw on the exterior of the car is a ding on the passenger side rear quarter right above the wheel and some chips/scuffs in the hood that have been touched up.
The interior looks like a much newer car as well. Even the headliner is all intact with no sagging. But it does have a slit in the seat cushion on the passenger side of the rear seat. No funny odors and everything works as far as I can tell.
This vehicle is Virginia State Inspected and Autocheck certified. Don't wait till the last minute and be outbid on this gorgeous and hard to find VW Passat TDI. We will not sell any salvage, flooded, or rebuilt vehicles. And we guarantee a clear title with no odometer problems.
We do not sell any vehicle that we wouldn't drive ourselves. As a matter of fact, we often put a couple hundred miles on the vehicles before we list them. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.
Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways. Your trade-ins are welcome as well. Please call us before the end of the auction if you wish to trade a vehicle.
