1973 PONTIAC LE MANS COUPE RESTORE OR USE AS DAILY DRIVER I PURCHASED THIS CAR TO RE-SELL FOR A FRIEND OF MINE THAT IS DOWN ON HER LUCK. THE STORY IS; IT BELONGED TO HER POLISH FATHER & ONCE HE PASSED 12 YEARS AGO, HIS WIFE PUT THE CAR INTO THE GARAGE AND JUST DROVE IT ENOUGH TO KEEP ANYTHING FROM FREEZING UP. SHE MAINTAINED THE CAR WITH REGULAR LUBE, OIL & FILTER CHANGES UNTIL 2002, WHEN HER GRANDSON, WAS AT DRIVING AGE, SHE GAVE HIM THE CAR. THE GRANDSON WENT TO COLLEGE AND USED THE CAR FOR COMMUTING BACK AND FORTH. HE NO LONGER NEEDED THE CAR AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO MY FRIEND (HIS MOM) INSTEAD OF SELLING IT, BECAUSE HIS MOM WANTED TO KEEP IT FOR SENTIMENTAL REASONS. MY FRIEND HAD THE FOLLOWING SERVICE WORK DONE TO IT & PERIODICALLY DROVE IT HERSELF. WHEN SHE RECENTLY BECAME DISABLED, SHE COULD NOT AFFORD TO MAINTAIN 2 VEHICLES & THAT'S WHERE WE ARE TODAY... I DON'T EXPECT THE WORLD HERE - BUT THESE ARE RARE CARS - ESPECIALLY WITH CLEAR TITLES, AND ONLY 64,200 ORIGINAL MILES...WHICH I JUST TURNED YESTERDAY. I TAKE THE LEMANS OUT DAILY FOR A CRUISE AND IT RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD. REPAIRS DONE IN THE PAST FEW YEARS: BRAKES (2009, 2010 ,2013)NEW MASTER CYLINDER & BRAKES 60k (2010)NEW V-BELT (GATES 7480)NEW ALUMINUM LIFETIME RADIATOR (2013)NEW FRONT & REAR SHOCKS (2013)NEW GOLD+ BATTERY (2014)NEW MUFFLER (2014)NEW STEERING GEAR BOX & PRESSURE LINE (2014) THIS LE MANS DOES HAVE A/C BUT IT IS NOT HOOKED UP. VEHICLE CONDITION: MISC. SCRATCHES, DINGS, DENTS & CARPET PARTIALLY REMOVED...SINCE THE LAST POST...I GOT THE CAR SERVICED AND IT NOW MOVES IN REVERSE AS WELL.
