Japanese Classics listing Japanese Classics proudly offers this 1989 Austin Mini Cooper Car Details Year: 1989 Mileage: 40,000 Make: Austin Transmission: 4-speed Model: Mini Cooper Engine: 4 Cylinder Exterior Color: Blue VIN: 99X-7646-AR Interior: black Stock Number: ##### tags if desired--> MK1 Mini Cooper Look (Tail Lights, Grill, Dash, etc) 1300cc Engine Front Disc Brakes 10" SSR MK2 3-Piece Wheels HID Headlights SPAX Shocks **This vehicle was imported from Japan, which is why the VIN is shorter than US manufactured vehicles. This VIN # appears on ALL DOCUMENTS including the U.S. Customs Release, Virginia Title, and Registration. Questions? 804-677-1419 to schedule an appointment to view the car in person. This is an excellent condition RHD Classic Mini which started life as a 1000cc vehicle, and upgraded to the 1300cc power plant during its time in Japan. This example has been well cared for over the years and shows excellent. The exterior paint work shines nicely and would be presentable at any classic car show. However, the paint is not perfect (please see photos). The tail lights have been converted to MK1 units and the mirrors moved from the doors to the fenders, which combined with the wider flares and Japanese made SSR MK2 3 -Piece wheels really give the car an aggressive stance. The MK1 grille and upgraded (HID) headlights help set the front end apart. There is very little rust on this car, and the underside is very solid. All of the minor rust areas are pictured. As stated the engine has been upgraded to a 1300cc unit equipped with a 12G940 cylinder head (larger valves) and an aftermarket cam and carburetor have also been fitted. Exact horsepower figures are unknown, however I can tell you the car is quite quick. The 4 speed transmission shifts nicely through the aftermarket short shifter. An aftermarket skid plate has also been added to protect the transmission case. The suspension has also been upgraded with SPAX front and rear shocks. The front brakes have also been upgraded to Disc Brakes, which do fit behind the 10" wheels! The Interior is in good condition, the dash has been converted to MK1 style center speedo, with an aftermarket tachometer mounted front and center. A John Cooper steering wheel has been installed and is in excellent condition and feels great. The seats have been upgraded to bucket style racing seats which are in very good condition, no rips or tears. The rear seats and rear parcel shelf look nearly new, as I doubt they have seen much if any use over the years. The checkered floor mats are removable if they are not your taste, and the OEM carpet has been removed. Overall this is a fun little car, and in excellent condition considering it's age. Let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to assist. VADLR tags if desired----->
