Ready to roll... This is a great running 1971 Pop-top Westfalia... 1971 was the first year for Front Disc Brakes and Brake Booster. It was the last year for the 1600 Dual-Port Upright motor. These two features make the 1971 a very desirable model, especially the Westfalia version.This particular bus has not been restored, but is in excellent mechanical condition. The lucky new owner can start enjoying and driving it immediately, at an extremely discounted price. What's cool about buying a bus this way,is that the it can either be built to your style and taste, or just drive it the way it is. As you can see from the pictures this a Rust Free bus! Yes, it does have cosmetic flaws, but it still looks good and is very comfortable to drive. Mechanically the Engine just had a Major Tune-up and Oil change. The Front and Rear brakes are like new and stops well. The Transaxle shifts smoothly and doesn't grind or pop out of gear. The front end is tight and drives straight down the road. All the electrical is in good working order including rear light over the table, and a new 12 Volt Battery from Napa. If you always wanted to own a classic VW bus but didn't want to spend the big bucks, maybe even work on it yourself, this is you chance.... Head for the beach, the mountains, or just the local park.
