Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1964 Pontiac Bonneville Ambulance on a Superior Chassis. 90% restored. I have been told that it is one of only about 90 made that year. Vehicle was purchased new by Canby, MN. Ambulance service (Near South Dakota Border) where they used it until Mid 70’s when it was then sold to Porter, MN rescue squad where it was used up until about 1995 then sold to a private party. I have spent the last several years restoring it but have to give it up due to job change. I have spent about 18 to 20,000 in all for the restoration and hate to let it go for this amount but really have no choice. Among new paint it has new HEI ignition, Edlebrock Carb, new heater core front and rear. Reupholstered seat, new side glass, radio heads to match period style, original two-man cot, O2 cylinder, ricco suction, Lifepak 6 cardiac monitor, electric fuel pump, custom cover and original two-man stretcher. Engine is a 389 CI with 64,000 original miles. Car runs and drives great. Only problem is there is a small leak at the front of the transmission from a pump seal. Transmission shop says 500 to 600 to repair but I just can’t put any more money into it. It doesn’t affect the way it drives however. I welcome inspections. Car is sold where is as is. Thanks for looking.
