Vehicle Detail
Car runs, idles and shifts fine. I still drive it here and there so the mileage will go up, but not much. Car does not smoke or make any crazy sounds.ENGINE/ TRANS/BRAKES:Car runs great, idles nice and steady with no crazy sounds. The car had been sitting for a while when I got it so I went through it and took care most of the maintenance items. Biggest things was probably the turbo. There was tons of shaft play and the seals were letting oil leak through out the intercooler pipes. My buddy upgraded his turbo so I replaced mine with his good minimal shaft play 12a turbo. I bought all the Felpro turbo gasket set to make sure that everything sealed up correctly. The car had Autolite spark plugs so I replaced them with OEM NGK plugs. The spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button had been recently replaced so I left those alone. The valve cover looked crappy so I took it off to refinish it and I went ahead and replaced the valve stem seals and installed a JET Valve Delete Kit while I was in there. When I put the new turbo in I also replaced the lower radiator hose, coolant hose coming off the turbo and replaced the old air filter. The power steering fluid was flushed and bled. The transmission shifts fine and clutch holds good. I reverse bled the brake lines when the new brake calipers and brake hoses were installed. The battery has also been replaced with a new AC Delco battery.INTERIOR:The interior on this car is great shape. The leather seats are in good shape and recline and slide as they should. The back seats look they were rarely sat in. All the steering wheel controls work fine, volume, mute, station seek etc. A/C controls light up and buttons work. The mirror controls also work fine. All light controls/switches click and turn on and off fine. Window controls work perfect. The Pioneer 6-CD Changer works great and plays/cyles cds as it should. The carpet has a spot near rear seat where it looks like a 2 inch spot was rubbed out. The car still has the factory floor mats with the red "conquest" lettering, the passenger side is in great shape and driver side not so much.SUSPENSION:Struts and springs appear to be the OEM pieces. Tie rods look like they have been replaced since they have the grease fittings. I did noticed that sway barbushings need to be replaced (I will probably do this before someone buys it). BODY: The car has rust around the rear wheel wells and behind the passenger side skirt. The clear coat is peeling away in a couple of places, but its to be expected for 20+ year old paint job. The front air dam had a spot where it looks like it was parked to close to something and the paint chipped. The fog lights on the air dam do not work. I don't like them but maybe the new owner will, so they are staying.WHEELS/TIRES:Wheels are in decent shape, but the tires will probably need replacing. They have good thread but just have dry rot. 225/50/16 front and 245/45/16 rear.If you have any other question or need more pictures just let me know.
