Vehicle Detail

This is a neat little rig for the right person. The guy that I got this from had it about 35 years...when he bought it had been someone elses project before that. I peg the original start of the build to the late 60s to early 70s. Most all the parts used on this car are before 1975. The engine is a 1969 Ford 351W and the trans is an FMX. The rearend is a 9" Ford with open gears..that is from the mid 60s or earlier. The front axle is old chrome Model A and the spring is old chrome too. Has a reversed Corvair box and what appears to be 18" Hallcraft wire wheels on the front. Has a lot of cool period parts and most of the hard work is done. Engine was rebuilt when put into this car but over the course of the last 30+ years it got stuck. Will need to be taken apart to see what it needs..it had been stored inside though. Has neat Cal Custom valve covers, fuel pump blockoff plate and remote oil filter adapter. Also has cool hairpins on all four corners and a handmade wood dash full of Stewart Warner guages. Steering column isnt mounted but looks to be an original Model T unit....the steering wheel is a later reproduction. Needs the steering finished and mount a brake pedal. Pretty close to being a car... Front end is done, steering is very close. Rear end is nicely mounted on a transverse leaf spring. Will need work here and there but you can mostly go forward with what is here. It is a little piece of California T bucket and hot rod history. Headers are new Speedway units with slip in mufflers included. Rear lug studs need changing...some rear brake parts are missing.. No makers marks that I have found on the body. Frame is supposedly a Model A frame that has been kicked up in the back...work on the frame looks decent for the period. Has a Mustang shifter mounted and hooked up..and an emergency brake lever mounted. Has a platform for a seat and its all pretty sturdy. Car was never completed...doesnt have any serial numbers that I can see..will be sold with a bill of sale. Please ask as many questions as you need BEFORE you bid...also if you are nearby I would recommend you come see the car...it is being sold elsewhere.. TERMS: Full payment is to be in my hands within 3 days of auction end. Manner of payment is strictly my choosing. Check your shipping costs before you buy..Im in Los Angeles so close to everything. Can deliver to a local shipper for $100 over final bid price.
