Vehicle Detail
1929 FORD MODEL AA “WALTON’S” STYLE TRUCK This 1929 Ford Model AA truck had a full frame off restoration in the mid 1970’s. The engine was rebuilt and the entire transmission/drive train/brakes, etc. were checked out and repaired as/if needed. ALL of the wood on the vehicle was replaced with new hand made parts. The body, bed, engine, drive train, wheels, and frame of the Model AA were sanded and cleaned to bare metal, smoothed out, primed and painted. The radiator was also serviced and painted. The truck did not have the original bed when purchased, so we found an era correct pick up bed. It had to be lengthened approximately one foot to fit the frame. The truck has a three (3) speed transmission and a two (2) speed rear end. Most all of the original parts were used back in the restoration, so as to keep the truck as original as possible. The front bumper, gauge panel, and other originally chromed pieces were cleaned and polished, but not re-chromed to leave the original “patina”. Every piece of the Model AA was literally checked out and rebuilt by hand at the time of the restoration. The entire interior, top, and visor were all completely re-upholstered. New floor mats were also installed. The Ford Model AA was driven occasionally over the next 20-25 years in a few parades or at family reunions, etc. probably putting on less than 200 miles total. It has been stored, virtually un-driven, for approximately 15 years. It is in good running condition. The truck is described, as accurately as possible, but sold “as is, where is” and bidders should ask any and all questions before bidding. The buyer must pick up or arrange for the 1929 Ford Model AA to be picked up at the buyer’s expense within 30 days of auction sale's end date. The Ford Model AA truck is located at WaKeeney, Kansas, half way between Kansas City and Denver along Interstate 70 and has a clear title. A 10% or $1,000, whichever is greater, down payment required through Paypal within 24 hours of auction’s end and the remainder by cash in person, certified check funds verified to have cleared prior to release of truck, or wire transfer of funds verified as received prior to release of truck within 7 days of auction sale’s end date. Down payment will be forfeited, if buyer does not complete the transaction within the seven (7) day period for payment in full.
