This car has served us well and has been mostly problem free. My wife recently bought a used 1995 Toyota Corolla for better mpg so her car is now for sale. If I were to keep this car it would be my winter beater again and I might try to fix all the rust to get it to pass inspection in PA. Other than the rust it should pass with no other work or tires needed in 3/15 when the inspection runs out, I want to be clear that it has major rust on the rockers and one of the rear springs is broke causing the car to ride low. I think the rust is fixable with some time and expense but I am not sure and as a result I am taking the position with this auction that it is not fixable and have priced accordingly. Brakes have a slow leak also and we just keep the fluid checked. We have driven it like that (rust and spring and brakes) for the past 6 months but if you are going to drive it on bad roads you may want to get the spring fixed at least. Buy it, beat it this winter then scrap or fix it. All tires are near new as well. I have priced the beginning starting bid with the assumption it has $150 of worth and $250 in scrap value which are very realistic if you decide not to fix it. Heck the parts value alone makes it almost worth buying if you already have one. Good luck bidding. I can deliver the car up to 200 miles for a pre-negotiated (before auction end) fee if you need me to. I would prefer not but can if I must to get it sold.
