1948 Chevy Fleetline 4 Door; this car is a classic and there was a limited production quantity compared to the other “Fleetline” categories. Also known in some car circles as a "German Helmet" style. Original "patina" 2 tone paint with a number of accessories including bumper extension/fender guards, grill guard, rear bumper pull down, seat covers, 30 hour clock, dash ash tray, Fulton visor, glove compartment lamp, radio and under seat heater. Stainless steel body trim, window trim and moulding are in very good condition. Running 6 cylinder-216 engine-with 3 speeds on column. The car runs and drives and recently had new wheel cylinders, brakes, a new emergency brake cable replaced on left side, new hood springs, valve cover gasket, new lower radiator hose, new thermostat, new sway bar bushings. Recently done was a valve adjustment, tune up with new oil filter, engine oil, and transmission and rear end fluid. Also has a new aluminum radiator with electric fan. Electrical system is 6 volts but has an 8 volt battery. Installed new correct gauge battery cables recently.All the windows roll up and down smoothly as well as the vent windows open and close (vent window pins all work). Body and frame are solid. Floor, rocker panels and quarter panels are in very good shape. The vehicle has typical rust for a 60 year old car as shown by pictures. Only rust through found was under tail lights and bottom of spare tire well. I'm told this is a common area of rust. The oil, temp and battery gauges work but the fuel gauge is stuck on full.Shifts through all gears and has the mechanical shift conversion kit installed vs. vacuum assist shifting.Buyers will contact the seller within 48 hours of auction ending to confirm payment and transport arrangements.
