1998 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0L Extended Cab NO RESERVE! Lots of money invested in this truck. Rebuilt transmission, newer transfer case, brake hydraulic overhaul, Rugged Ridge manual locking hubs, new starter. Has ladder rack with removable rear brace, grille lights and flasher kit, police style spotlight, CB radio antenna with coax hookup, tow hitch receiver. Comes with Haynes repair manual, factory service manuals, and a spare Rugged Ridge manual locking hub. The paint is fading and a shackle that attaches the leaf spring to the rear of the frame needs to be replaced. Apparently, this happens with every Ranger and I got a quote of $350 to repair it. The rest of the undercarriage is solid and I've been under the truck with it jacked up without concern. Runs great, but it likes to be warmed up for a couple minutes before driving. There are 2 baseball sized dents in the rear of the truck that are somewhat covered by the bumper (see pictures). Basically, it has the typical wear and aging of a 16 year old truck that has been well cared for. I bought this truck for camping, driving in the snow, moving and the occasional summer cruise. I haven't used it for towing. There have been no “check engine” lights since I replaced the spark plugs and ignition wires back in 2012. The oil was just changed and interior detailed.
