2014-11-03 2Intermeccanica porsche 356 speedster you are looking a recreation of a Porsche 356 speedster by Intermeccanica one of the last hand crafted coach builders in the world known for their unrivalled quality and authenticity. Built on a shortened volkswagen chasis and titled as a 1974 vw allowing for historic registration this speedster needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed and driven everyday . Its just been professionally tuned and starts on the first key turn everytime with no spitting or sputtering, idles well, shifts smoothly with nice excelleration and braking and no rattles or funny noises of any kind. Always maintained at it optimum and stored in climate controlled garage with rare vintage racers and other classic porsches. Powered by a 1600cc engine with independent rear suspension it has new brakes, shocks and tires as well as new clutch assembly, valves, valve springs, push rod tubes, starter and fuel pump. The new convertible top is german twill with black dobbing backing and matching side curtains. Authentic 356 front fitted chrome overider bar with porsche bumper guards, new oem style beehive turn signal assemblies, hood handle , crest and gaskets as well as new aero side mirrors and rear tailight assemblies that include new lenses, chrome bezels and gaskets. The instrument gauges are porsche 914 with chrome bezels. Tan german wool squareweave carpet throughout with double layer of premium sound deadening barrier and a set of new NOS 356 sisal mats. Like new bucket seats in a rich saddle with ivory piping, chrome luggage rack with saddle leather straps made by Dusty Johnson at Pleasant Valley saddle shop, full tonneau and ivory powder coated wheels. The body finiSH is original with exception of a few minor blemishes which include a scratch on the drivers door jamb where it meets the body , directly below the engine compartment lid on body and a minor flaw on the passenger side at the gold "speedster script," none of them draw the eye or detract from the overall condition.
