Here for your consideration is a very nice, well maintained 1985 Mercury wagon. I purchased this car from the original owner's wife. It was sold new here in NC and has always remained here. As you can see from the original window sticker it is loaded with options; 5.0 V-8 engine, automatic overdrive transmission, cruise control, ps, pdb, climate control A/C, leather seats, power windows, power antenna, AM/FM/Cassette radio and more. The A/C was not working when I got the car and I have just spent $1100.00 to fully repair the system. The receipt for that work is included. This wagon has spent all of it's life garaged, when not being driven. There is not rust on this car and the paint is rich and shows no sign of fading. There is one bent moulding on the right rear of the car as photographed. The original headliner is nice as well as the carpet and the leather seats. The tires are Michelin with excellent tread left, however, they are ten years old. All of the front bright work such as grille, front bumper, and headlight bezels are near perfect. The paint is 100% original with not even a brush touch-up.The engine cranks up with ease and all gauges are working properly. The car drives excellent with no suspension or brake issues. The exhaust is a bid louder than I would have thought a Grand Marquis would have been, but it is not a puttering sound of a typical exhaust leak. I would feel safe driving this car any distance, but be aware, as stated earlier, the tires are ten years old. The original window sticker, owner's manual, and warantee book are included. I have this car listed locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time due to a prior sale. If you are the winning bidder, and you personally come to get this car and are not satisfied for any reason, you do not have to take it. However, if you win this car and send someone other than yourself to get it, the sale is final, no returns. I want the buyer to be totally satisfied with this car. It is my opinion that this car looks better in person than in the photos. The car is sold as is and must be paid for in full within two weeks of auction's end.
