Up for sale is a 2002.5 (this GTI was sold in 2003) Volkswagen GTI APR Stage 3. I am a student and need to sell this car to pay for school. I really don't want to sell the car. I have receipts for a lot of work done to the car, thousands of dollars worth. I bought the car with a bad axle, hoping to flip the car for more money. I got the car fixed and fell in love with the car and the BOV sound along with the turbo whoosh. This car is a very quick and light big turbo car. Nearly all work done to this car was done by certified mechanics at shops such as Peerless Automotive (Olathe, KS- specialize in Audi, VW), APR Tuning, NTB, Kings Automotive (Stanley, Kansas). This car has been owned by obsessive enthusiasts. The owner before me made sure the car sat wherever he parked for 2 minutes idling to make sure the turbo cools down to preserve the life of the turbo, as do I. Regular oil changes every 3k miles. The car formerly had some Privat wheels on them before one got badly damaged by a curb and I put 2013 GTI wheels on (currently on car), but the car comes with used silver 5 spoke Privat wheels with good tires on them with decent tread. Comes with 3 wheels and 1 tire in good condition, and one bent up and cracked Privat wheel in addition to the four brand new wheels and tires. It is currently tuned to 91 at 20-22 psi at just a bit under those hp numbers getting 25-30 MPG depending on how I drive it. If you want a bump in hp, got to an APR approved shop close to you and get a 93 tune installed on you drive for a small fee or no fee at all. All in all, with current tune the car is incredibly fast. That being said, I am a very conservative driver as was the owner before me. This car is in no means been beaten and thrashed on. I always try to park in the shade and the car is always garaged. Took off front lip and sold it. It is an optional part. Car has some paint scratches or rock chips, but they are minor. Has small black marks where a spoiler used to be. Not very noticeable until you see up close.Car has small crack in windshield. Has never been a problem.Sometimes drivers door sticks. It always opens, though. Not a huge issue. CEL is on for small exhaust leak (small enough not to be a concern according to my mechanic), and aftermarket exhaust. Sometimes the airbag and door light will come on for prolonged periods of time due to faulty sensors.Other than that, it runs great. Interior is in great condition with small signs of wear.
