1999 BMW 323i $1700......MECHANIC SPECIAL.... I bought this car for a project and really don't have the time to go all in. I have replace the transmission ($1400), new wheels and tires ($900), shocks-struts-springs ($600). cooling system-radiator-water pump-expansion tank-fan shroud ($600), control arms and bushings ($250). The exterior looks good, but it is not perfect. AC blows cold (just replaced the blower resistor motor) and new blower motor ($70). Just spent $822 to have the car engine bay re-wired. I drive with the windows up all the time. The interior was next, but I am leaving that for the buyer to design as he/she wishes. Fun Bimmer...It's hard to crank and runs very rough. Someone stated that the head gasket is blown, but no white smoke. I have $7500 invested in the car. Great for a mechanic to hot rod. Interested buyers, I have invested a good deal of money in this car. So, please don't send low ball offers, I wouldn't do the same to you. BMW is located in Southaven, MS. THANKS FOR LOOKING!! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I bought the car as a project car off line out of Houston TX. The previous owner did not take care of the car. It was sitting out in the sun and there was not any maintenance done on the car. The trans went out after about a month. I replaced anything that needed it. Later, a wire loom melted to the block and I had the engine bay rewired. I do not drive the car everyday, I just drive it to the end of my street so it does not sit up.
