Vehicle Detail
I am the third owner of this fine American muscle car. It has been my all time favorite car to ever own, but as with a lot of things in life, it is time to part ways with it. A quick history of this car...the first owner lived in Philly as a teacher and retired to Florida, where the second owner bought it. I purchased it from him just a couple of years later and I've had it since 2003. I was told the first owner never drove it on salty roads and the condition of the undercarriage is proof of that. In my time with the car, I've always kept it in the garage. Currently the car has a very healthy 455 in it and the original engine that is the infamous Olds Rocket 350; I have that in the garage and will include it with the sale. The original trans (TH350) is still in the car. A repaint was done by the second owner to a slightly darker version of the '70s green and added the black stripes plus a new top. The font bench does need to be redone on the driver's side, but the back seat is original and is in great shape for a 43 year old car. Carpet is also all original. The original radiator, #7 heads (for the 350), a/c compressor, condenser, and brackets will be included with the sale. The spare is straight out of the 70's (cannot confirm if it's original or not) and the bumper jack should be the original. Other than a few paint imperfections, the body is in great shape. There is some very small rust bubbles on the driver's side quarter panel. The chrome is also in great shape and all original. Glass is original as far as I know and looks great. The car does need a power steering pump (or at least new seals in the original) and the mid-pipe on the passenger side exhaust needs to be welded in place. Rims are the infamous chrome Craiger SS rims. Some details about the car: -455 from an Olds 98 Bored 0.030" over (approx 461 cu in) -Holley 870cfm double pumper -10.25:1 pistons (Mondello) -Mondello 499-8 cam kit --485 lift, 232 Duration, 113 Centers -Approx 9.75:1 compression -Mondello Oil restrictors (improves oil circulation) -Factory heads -Edelbrock Torker II aluminum intake -Hooker long tube headers -Full aftermarket exhaust -Aluminum Radiator -High Flow Aluminum Water pump -MSD Digital 6-Plus ignition -MSD Billet Aluminum Distributor -MSD Blaster 2 Coil -MSD Wires From what I was told by an engine builder at Mondello, the above set-up should be close to 400 hp and 500 ft lbs torque. Since I'm including the original Rocket 350 with the car, it is the sellers responsibility to arrange for pickup/transportation of it in addition to the car itself.
