Up for a "no reserve" auction is a 2005 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE " OPENING " Here is another opportunity for some lucky bidder, to own an auction car open to the public. This car was recently delivered to us from our local insurance company. We were asked to put up for auction. We could have simply listed this at a dealer only type of auction, but we decided to open the bidding to everyone on this great looking convertible Corvette. So, with that being said, happy bidding. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CAR" Well to start, this was a Michigan Flood car. Not to long ago, Michigan made the national news for a torrential downpour rain.Which resulted in a freshwater flood .Many homes and autos were affected by this damage. This car was one of them . This was not a salt water flood vehicle .We received the car with the plugs out of the engine. So, we manually turned over the motor to ensure there was no internal damage and possible more water.After that we place a new battery in the engine compartment and powered up the car. All the electronics, everything powered up without any issues. So, we placed the original spark plugs back in the engine, started up the car....And low and behold the car runs, lot drives. Everything is working as expected from this corvette. There is a slight misfire with the engine and the service engine light is illuminated. The passenger front fender plastic is rubbing against the wheel when you make a sharp left turn. There is a some water stains in the passenger's side seat. This occurred, because the tow company left the passenger window open during the downpour."WHAT WE NOTICED"The engine has a slight misfire.There is water stains on the passenger side seat.A very small, chip in the pain on the passenger side. Drives very well, aside from the right front passenger fender rubbing when making a sharp left turn.The tires have plenty of tread. The paint is very good looking, the convertible works and looks great too. 'EQUIPMENT PACKAGE"Has a navigation radio.Manually operated convertible top.Heads up display. Leather interior, with heated and powered seats.Automatic transmission. adjustable suspension . Some others Im sure we missed. "OUR OPINION" This 2005 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE, would make for a great project car to get back on the road. We think this going to make for a great purchase and bring some road traveling enjoyment for the lucky bidder once again.
