Vehicle Detail
My name is Jerod Walter and I maintain a collection of new and vintage motorcycles for a private collector. The bikes are insured, registered, kept full of conditioned fuel, connected to battery maintainers and stored in an air-conditioned showroom. “Showroom Bikes” are kept in top running condition and are regularly ridden on short notice. The bikes are detailed and refueled after each ride before returning to the showroom. Riding bikes regularly keeps the mysteries to a minimum and allows us to stay on top of any issues that arise. From time to time we “thin the herd” to make room for new arrivals. Incoming bikes, or “Shop Bikes” go to our bike shop for service, overhaul, and sometimes restoration before moving to the showroom. From time to time a Shop Bike never makes it to the showroom for one reason or another. So sometimes we sell Shop Bikes too. In each case we try to tell the full story of the bike and post lots of pictures. I’m always available by phone to talk about the bikes and answer any questions. 1970 CB750K0 built in April of 1970. This is a "shop bike" that was meant to eventually be completely restored. Due to other projects taking precedence, we have decided to let someone else enjoy this very fine example of one of the most iconic motorcycles of all time. The previous owner went to great lengths to start a pristine restoration of this bike. All of the painted parts including the fuel tank, headlight bucket, fork ears, side covers, and air box have been professionally painted . The paint is perfect! I have seen dozens of repainted 750s and this is by far the best aftermarket paint job I have ever seen! It also appears the frame was re-painted and looks new as well. The chrome parts look absolutely beautiful. They have NOT been re-chromed. The front and rear fenders, headlight rim, fork bolts, triple tree center nut, handlebar bolts, handlebars, turn signals, and mirrors are all NOS Genuine Honda parts with not a scratch on them. The stamped HM300 pipes are original and are in excellent condition. There is a little bit of yellow tint on the header pipes and a small acid stain on the inner #2 pipe but there is no rust or holes and still shine very nicely. The tach and speedo are not faded at all, however, the glass on the speedometer is scratched toward the upper right corner. The bike starts and runs with a little choke but has been sitting for some time and could most likely use a tune up. Tires are almost brand new period correct Dunlops both front and rear and the wheels are still in very good condition. Although the bike was built in early 1970, it still retains a lot of the features of the first year K0. The ducktail seat is 100% original. There is a small tear on the left side towards the front of the seat and the cover appears to be a little loose but its still in great shape. The 1 cable into 4 throttle carburetors are present and it has the aluminum colored brake caliper. It also has the plastic chain guard. With just a little work this bike could be an amazing show winning beauty that you could really be proud of. The bike is located in Wimberley, Texas (45 miles outside of Austin) but will be sold with a clear New York title. We’re selling this motorcycle as is with no warranty, and we require a deposit of $500.00 via PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment will be accepted through wire transfer, certified cashier's check, or cash in person only. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and pick up of motorcycle. Finally: you would be surprised at how many people place the winning bid on a motorcycle and then discover that they can’t pay. We’ve often wondered how that can happen, but it does. Please don’t be one of those guys. Please don’t bid unless you’re 100% sure you can and will pay. Please feel free to email any questions about the bike via EBay or don't hesitate to call me, Jerod at (830)237-7507. Good luck bidding! On Oct-15-14 at 15:42:49 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Regarding the title: New York State does not title motorcycles from 1970. Instead New York State provides transferable registrations for these motorcycles. This 1970 Honda has a current, clear transferrable registration valid through April 30 2015. As with a title, ownership can be transferred by endorsing the backside of the transferrable registration. A copy of the current valid registration document will be provided upon request.
