Vehicle Detail

UP FOR SALE IS MY 1987 SYNCRO/WESTY. This is a converted vehicle. I purchased this van in 2004 as a 7 passenger GL. At the time of purchase, I replaced the engine and had the transaxle rebuilt. It has been an incredibly reliable vehicle, always starts and has never stranded me. I replaced the Viscous Coupler with a solid shaft and a vacuum operated driveshaft de-coupler. The rear differential does have the vacuum lock. Last year I purchased a wrecked 1990 Westphalia and converted this van using the components off of the donor. It is a full camper, not a weekender. I had the hole in the top professionally removed by a local body shop between the cross structure pillars, and added the pop top with a new tent from Go Westy. The upper bunk came from a Country Homes camper and fit like a glove (although it is now just a bunk for a child - it does not fold out like the original, but I do have the original pieces) I installed a hardwood floor (not composite or pressed board.) I used all new components for the water system (Go Westy). It looks fantastic, clean and original. The list of new parts which I have receipts for are as follows: New Factory style tent New Skylight New H2O plumbing including pump. New Power Window Regulators, Switches, and motors (both sides) New Pop Top Shock kit New Battery New Exterior Camper hookups (Go Westy) Most interior exposed metal components have been powder coated (pop top bar, table support bracket and pipes, stove vent pieces, rear seat metal pieces and swivel seat mounting plates) Seats have been converted to factory Westy swivel type Includes all tables and curtains New Driveshaft New hardwood floor New Shocks New Steering Rack All new Front Suspension components (bushings, bearings, ball joints, sway bar pieces) All Suspension pieces were sand blasted and powder coated New Rotors, Calipers and Stainless backing plates New Master Cylinder Rear Brakes rebuilt 3 years ago Rebuilt Front axles Michelin Harmony radials with about 90% tread Work that needs to be completed: A/C needs to be wired in and charged Window Tint could use replacing It does leak oil Now the legalities: This is an old vehicle. There are no warranties or guarantee's. Do your research. No Nigerian bank schemes (I mean really, we are all sort of on to this) No checks for over the amount of the winning bid (again we are all sort of on to this) No lower atmospheric smog credits as full or partial trade Buyer is responsible for transport This is an old vehicle. I will regret selling this. On Oct-14-14 at 18:25:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: It was brought to my attention that there are mileage issues within the Carfax check. That is correct, the mileage is not original. I replaced the instrument cluster when I first got the vehicle 10 years ago. The lens on the speedo was broke and the gas/temp guage did not work, so I replaced the whole cluster out of a wrecked van. Original mileage is unknown.
