This is a really nice and a really cool car. I am a big Mazda guy have owned many of these and they are great.,this RX7 is a GSL model which gives it some nice features like power windows and cruise control which all work, everything in this car is in working order. It is like a new car really I would drive it across the country tomorrow. The car spent most of its life in the hands of a collector and was maintained very well, never winter driven and kept in good order. The paint is original and in amazing condition. There are a couple of door dings but the paint is shiny and holding up well. Very little required to make it perfect.The interior is amazing the seats are like new, dash is perfect headliner all perfect. The car recently had a service performed that included new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor and the fuel filter. The little rotary engine runs perfectly, really feels like a new 1983 Mazda RX7 What can I say this is a great car really fun to drive and very reliable. The huge sunroof is removable and can be stored in the hatch area this makes the car feel like a convertible without the convertible issues. One thing to mention is that this is a rare Automatic transmission RX7 this has some advantages. One being that the automatic shifts the car well below redline at 5300 rpm. This car redlines at over 7000 rpm and this generally means less wear and tear on the engine. The car can be shifted manually and it will run right up to redline. Very strong motor and completely stock. I feel this car can be a lot of things. A fun cruise night weekend car. A really cool daily driver which was my own intention and if it does not sell still may be. Or this could be a great car for a young driver. These are very reliable cars that hold up very well. They are not particularly fast compared to today's cars. They can certainly be made into fast cars but in stock form they are just fun. I live in the far western suburbs of Chicago and both airports are easily within distance of my home.Metra train service a a livery service can easily get you out to me and the car.
