Here is a 1963 Impala SS that I purchased 6 years ago with the intent of making a rat rod, driver out of it, because it looks exactly like my first car. I have a sweet running 348 I was going to implant, fiberglass the holes in the body, paint it hot rod black, install a new interior, update the mechanicals, and enjoy it. One divorce and two moves later, I find myself anticipating another move, with no room for the car. This car has a numbers matching 327/300 engine AND a numbers matching T-10 4 speed! Rear diff is open with 3:36 gears. The body has rust on every panel, and in the floorboards, although the trunk is pretty solid with minor rust. Trunk gutters are very solid with rust limited to the outer edge in a few places,firewall is solid, frame has no rust. The original wiring is intact and complete, has factory tach, power steering, and I thought the carb (Carter AFB) was original because of the original fuel line and sediment bowl, but the numbers indicate otherwise. Hurst shifter replaced the original years ago. When I purchased the car the engine would turn over, but now it will not. The body is well out of my expertise, and being a numbers matching car, thought someone may want to save it. If it doesn’t sell, I’ll rebuild the 327 to keep it original, and drive it, but no longer have the inclination to do so. From all appearances, it had the rust repaired many years ago, painted, and was never completely reassembled. All exterior trim is accounted for, and the SS side trim is in very good shape, all driver or rat rod quality. Has 15x7 rally wheels on it, and also have the 14” originals if you want them. I can't verify the mileage as the title says exempt. I have a clear Indiana title in hand, so ask any and all questions.
