1939 Packard 1700 Series Touring Sedan / 4 Door This is a PreWar 1939 Packard 200 Series Touring Sedan with 69,000 miles, One owner, 4-door, Sedan, 6-cyl. The vehicle is essentially in very good overall condition, the engine purrs, it shifts smoothly as if it had just been broken in, the brakes grab nicely,. This Packard has the signature Suicide Gangster Style Doors that we all really love and simply does not disappoint. The body is in great shape, the interior is nice, all original wood & chrome dash details in great shape. Lovingly taken care of, never driven in inclement weather, and always stored inside. The mechanics of this car are very good, she has 69,000 miles still have the original owners manual/repair manual. This car has truly lived a pampered life. Don't forget, this car is 74 years old and still runs and drives! You can't fake or duplicate the way this car feels when you drive it. it has the original flat 6, 245 Cubic Inch making 245 horsepower (incredible for that era), and is a matching numbers car. All of the major systems work well, it starts right up, idles nicely, the transmission shifts nicely. The interior is in good condition, but could use a renovation. It is certainly drivable as it is now, but one can easily see how an upgrade would increase the cars overall value. All of the glass including the fold out back windows for the gentleman or lady to allow cigarette smoke out as not to bother the other passengers. All Original Interior: Original headliner, door panels, rear carpet, front mat, trim and dash). The Engine Compartment is in Original Condition with Original Parts. Great Packard in UN-Restored Original Condition. Overall the interior feels good and you cant help but smile a big grin driving her to get a gallon of milk! Overall the paint shines nicely, though it is not perfect. She does have some minor nits and nats that come with time.
