Vehicle Detail

1967 Volkswagen VW Bug Here we have for sale a nice 1967 Volkswagen VW bug. The bug has had a lot of upgrades done to it. It runs and drives as nice as it looks! The bug has a very sleek look to it. I wanted to keep it stock-ish with the original style interior, original style trim around the windows and pair that with a lowered two tone painted look. The bug is super straight and the interior was all redone. The engine is a 1600cc single port that bought new from GEX about 10 years ago. I just re-did all of the tin and poweder coated everything on the engine. The air cleaner is a geniune NOS unit that I found for the engine. The bumpers are all correct for the car and even the one year only rear bumper. The Hella back up lights all are functioning and working as they should. The wheels are EMPI polished 5 spokes and they are in great shape. The tires are in good shape but the fronts have some cracking in them. The brake system was all rebuilt and stops very well. The bug was lowered only in the front by an adjustable beam. It was lowered very mildly, I do not like slammed bugs but this one is done very tastefully. The adjustable beam allows you to go back up to stock height very easily. The shocks have all be replaced. The running boards are brand new from West Coast Metric. The window rubber was all replaced with Wolfsburg West rubber and the original trim was reused. I had a professional windshield shop put the new rubber on the windows and they glued everything in so the windows will not leak. I replaced the door weatherstripping too to keep the air out of the inside while driving. The paint is in nice shape on the exterior. When I bought the car, it was all yellow, but I thought it needed the two lone look so I had a professional body shop paint the white on the lower half of the body. It looks killer! Its a very nice touch and looks great with the yellow. The yellow paint has blemishes in it and has some chips. It older paint and it shows it but still is shiny and looks very presentable. There is a little split in the driver side front fender. Its very minor. There is also some cracks in the paint by the driver door on the roof and below the side window. The interior has all been redone. I had the headliner replaced by a professional and made it looks very nice and how the original would look from the factory. The seats have new covers on them. The carpet was replaced too. There is all new OEM style rubber floor mats. There is also an EMPI quick shifter installed to for nice easy shifting. The transmission shifts smoothly through every gear. The steering wheel was replaced with an aftermarket smaller wheel, making steering very quick and easy. The gas gauge works and same as the speedometer. The lights all work and the turn signals works. The radio however does not work and the dash was cut for the radio too. The door panels are all brand new. I just put in a brand new 12 volt battery last week. There is a little battery acid corrosion on one corner of the battery tray. Darn leaky batteries!! Its very minor and maybe the size of a quarter. But thats it, the floors, heater channels, everything else is solid. The heater works great! This was my daily driver all last winter. The heater kept me nice and warm in the car. There are some chips on the interior paint that shows the original Lotus white paint. The window scrappers are old and deteriorated. The Volkswagen is a cool little bug that shows very well. Its a neat driver bug that looks and drives great. It gets a ton of attention. There is some wear in places on the bug, it is not perfect and has some issues but thats what makes owning a Volkswagen fun. The simplicity of VW's is what I love about owning them. Own one of the best year Volkswagens with is 1967 bug. The 1967 is loaded with one year only parts and thats what makes the bug special. Please ask any and all questions that you might have before bidding on the bug. I can store the bug for only one month after payment is cleared so that shipping arrangements can be made. I have a clean and clear Nevada title in hand. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
