OK Folks, Wife got her new 2014 Stingray, so her summer daily driver has to go before winter. This car is an excellent example of a well cared for C5 with only about 60K miles. She still drives it a bit, so the mileage will change a little... There are 2 Known Defects on car. 1. the Right headlight gear grinds when going down. common GM problem, 15 dollar gear and an afternoon to change... 2.nd is the Oil Pressure gauge pegs out at max, this is bad sending unit. the C5 has 2 oil pressure sending units, one for the ECM and one for the gauge, this is for the gauge, a pain in the rear to change, and that is why I didn't attempt. 50 dollar part... Interior shows normal wear and tear for a 15 year old corvette... exterior is above average, and wheels and tires are like new, tires we just bought this spring and have about 2K miles if that.... This car needs nothing to get in it and drive it coast to coast, I know, because we did about 3 years ago. it ran flawless and got 30+ MPG on the highway.
